you get your sled serviced, want to go back out for a run tomorrow?
Sleds at dealers till Thursday afternoon. Than Friday we’re trying to do a run to Whitney ..

I’d be down but not tomorrow .. and waiting for more snow.

Anything south of kinmount is garbage.
its beyond a mogul park, as you get past kinmount to Hali is much better.

Is there parking South of Lindsay at Trail 402? I'd like to take the trail south to Rice Lake.
You can park at Goldenmile road in lindsay or in bethany right at Ski hill and hwy 7, but the MTO has put up barriers there so you have to maneuver around them.

I haven't nor did not see any comments regarding this where it was posted. What are the details?
The bat issue was far fetched .. guys were ripping up the trail and put other riders at risk which was a young kid. Guy thought they were going to go head on, and protected the kid in turn struck the other rider with his arm.
The kid who got airlifted is a different story. Went by the accident scene the other night .. he did take one helluva tumble down an embankment.
Witness statements show that " they had crossed at the trail mouth at hwy 7 at high speed without stopping and into incoming traffic"
Where it occured is a long straight away which is bumpy, lost control and down the embankment and helmet flew off.

Decent ride out of Port Perry club house today. Not sure how they do it, but ports trails heading east were pretty damm good, got a lil rough closer I got to the Ganny with it getting a hair on the sketchy side closer I got to Rice Lake. You can see clubs have made the most outta the limited snow they have, your efforts are very much appreciated. Lunch at Rhinos, Halibut n fries, wow it was good.
Thankfully, with only me, myself and I on the ride, no arguments and nothing but great conversation.
Add to that, sled ran n performed like it should, great day.
Assuming you crossed Rice lake than ?

Possibly another example of how sh+t can go sideways fast from last night.
"A 16 year old male has been transported to a near by trauma centre after being involved in a snowmobile collision on a trail located near Ski Hill Rd in Kawartha Lakes. It was reported that the male struck a tree causing his helmet to get knocked off and for him to be knocked unconscious, the male was conscious and speaking to emergency personnel once they arrived on scene. Firefighters had to extricate the patient approximately half a kilometre to the nearest road to a waiting ambulance where he treated by paramedics and was then transported to Peterborough Airport where Ornge had a helicopter standing by. The cause of the collision is unknown at this time but OPP are on scene investigating."
Alot behind this story, as no different than the guy who claimed he got hit by a bat outside Lindsay as well.
3 sides to every story .. including this one.

there is a way through Lindsay, but the river has to frozen!
Ive grown up in the area, and not even the best winter would i trust that river to cross.

This occured north of Lindsay near the Ken Reid bridge .. not hali.

The first time I took trail south of TB road into Lindsay an older man came after me with a broom. Couldn't believe it.
GET OUT OF HERE!!!!
I had the same damn thing happen to me! It was probably the same guy .. 3 houses in as you come out of the fenced trail line onto the street.
-
You can park on Thunderbridge road in lindsay, which runs along side the trail.
You can also park outside ken reid park but very limited .. than theres a few spots in Fenelon.
The high school, the beach area and the superior propane lot.

Infernobuster.I have been on 3 trips with Brian the owner of Come Play in the Snow.2 Atv trips and a long 7 day snowmobile trip.Mind you this was a few years back and all I will say is that he runs or ran a very good business. He had you lodging at nice places with great meals and each nite your gear was in your room at the end of the day.He used to put 10000 miles a Season on his sled doing these tours. We now do our own saddlebag trips but its getting that its hard to find riders who can be gone for more than a weekend.I just tonite tried to see if he had anything current on his website but like others it old but I did see he has 2 trips for 2020.He used to do one awhile back all the way up to James Bay where they had gas caches along the way.I remember one trip a rider had a BN Arctic Cat that had less than 100 miles on it and it broke down.Rusty Brian's co-worker who drives the truck and trailer took this guys sled 200 miles that night to a Dealer and had it back for him to ride that next morning. Our last trip with him, he carried a spare sled for someone just in case.Myself if I ever wanted to do another guided trip I would go again with him in a heartbeat. His prices are alittle high but but this sport isn't cheap and getting higher each year.Lastly if anyone is thinking of going, I would call him on the phone to get the latest itinerary for those 2 trips.
Thanks for the honest review.
Someone from this forum has reached out and extended a very "big" welcome to his riding group going north the same timeline.
If for whatever reason that fails or falls through, ill re consider Brian and his guided tour again.

When you looking to go? I have been to north several times and see no reason to use a tour company if you can get a few experienced riders together.

I’ve seen this as well. Something like 1500$ for the 7 day tour? Based out of Spanish I believe it said. I will try to find it and post here if I can
Yep. But its $1200... thats for double occupancy.
Since if i went im flying solo, i have to pay more per night .. which doesn t make sense at all.

Lots of snow and trails are great.
As you head further south of kinmount, moguls have already started to build. I suspect by tomorrow afternoon itll be mogul city all the way from Fenelon right to Kinmount.
Other than that, further north you go the better it is..
