Next to impossible to run slow where we ride. No matter the trail conditions , wide trails ,excellent sight lines , wide sweeping curves .very few road crossings . So yeah the odd track does get sacrificed . As long as it happens on the last day , all you can do is smile and wave as the rest of the gang blows by you.

My mistake mine listed above is a 22 180 hp. Had to replace the track last spring , fuel pump replaced at 6000 km.

l called around long before l needed to ship. The trailer had 3 golf carts and skid of B B Q s on board plus my chairs . So this trucker had a good arrangement for himself . Oh and the trailer didn't stink , however l was not going to eat off the floor .

I am frustrated since this is the most snow we have had all winter. Elmira / St.Clements trails had only been open 3 day this winter. We lost 2-3 days earlier on due to a groomer management issue. I understand that its going to be 4 today. The thing is if the groomer had started anytime after 1AM Saturday and did 1 pass we would have been good for the day and evening Saturday. The clubs do a lot of hours of work and to loose one day in a short season is poor. JMHO
Agreed PLC , could have open Sat and Sun locally . Seen a few riders pass through , l gave them the 👍 at least someone is getting the benefit of mine and others effort to set up the dam trail

All the tracks are good until they aren't . Dealer in P.Q has seen many off these fails, him and his service manager took a quick glance ask to start the sled , took a look at the # of Km and replied that is un fortunate for you , warranty does not apply. I smiled and waved , said see ya next year.

V2 has a lot of seat time on his new Enduro and has an opinion on shock packages. He may chime in .

I did some reading and this seems to be the common theory on Dootalk.
Its a combined problem between the tunnel/Heat Exchanger design and the 1.5 soft lug track. The tunnel has enough clearance for the track until it starts to ice up. Once it does the lugs on the 1.5 will start slapping on the ice build up which bends and eventually breaks the lugs from the track.
Right on Blackstar. Also trail conditions , frozen hard jagged ice going into corners to fast . Instead of the ice ripper track ripping up the ice , the ice is ripping up the track . Shorter lug less flex Hopefully the 1.25 track solves the problem cause my kid ain't slowing down .

So what’s wrong with the 1.5”….it’s been a great track, maybe lose some top end, buts that okay…lol
And I’d suggest adrenaline and than upgrade your shocks vs. the X.My 1.5 ice ripper delaminated outside lugs ripped off. 6,400 km . 2022 Renegade 3 dealers in 2 provinces had the same explanation, and no warranty. Now have a 1.25 '' ice attack as recommended by Quebec dealer who is very hands on and knowledgeable in my opinion .

Calling for plus 9 at musoka airport on Wednesday now we are suppose to hit plus 15 C in Kitchener. Maybe a new Feb record. So much for best conditions on family day weekend. 😂 Even Sunday plus 2 C at musoka airport. My Uncle saying trails around him are toast and he just run roads when he gets fresh snow. He is east of parry sound. Only has about 18” of snow. Usually 5 feet plus this time of year.
Strong Man wonder what the Farmers Almanac had predicted weather wise for this winter .For some reason l can't find my copy .

No verdict yet need to do more hands on research . Visit to Royal and dealer are in the near future. I hope we don't need the trailer stretcher 😁

What are you guys and gals running for carbides ? semi aggressive trail riding .

Did a bit of touring D5 and D9 the last few days and notice that good lunch stops are getting to be rare and far between . Not wanting to run roads or sidewalks . I think if some of us locals could put a list together that would be helpful , My recent findings Blyth .Cowbell brewery good trail access fuel across the rd. . Ayton Trixie's Saloon short rd .run fuel across the street. Alma Alma Dinner back st .rd .run fuel south of town . Hoping this list can be expanded . Maybe someone retired or more computer suave can produce a more useful format . Asking for myself and friends .

Saturday afternoon l am sitting on a park bench while my better half is wondering through the open market. A middle age women walks over and joking asks if l will keep an eye on her father . He sits down , this guy is old , native Indian for sure . He jesters toward a red squirrel ,says watch . Two black squirrels start to harass the red ,as the red drops the nut it was caring one of the black scope up the nut and both blacks run off. I asked the native guy do you think that because the squirrels are so aggressive this early about gathering nuts that we my get a long cold winter . Na , what it means is the black squirrels know how to get what they want with out having to work for it . He said be prepared for a harsh winter and be prepared to help others who can't prepare . Well l wasn't expecting those words of wisdom , this guy was awesome, best bench partner ever. He went on saying l liked shooting squirrels , you didn't have to hunt them , just had too look up. His daughter returns and asks what we were talking about ,with out missing a beet the old guys says nutin . He then told me his name was Henry and he was 94 years young .
