I just got off the phone with the lady at Rickwards. She rides a 650 VR1 and also is very happy with it, says her husband doesn’t have to listen to her complain anymore! Lol

My wife has been out of sledding for a couple seasons because we’ve got a 1yr old now, but she wants back into it for next season, just doesn’t want the weight of the viper.

so I think this 650 might be a good choice for her. Options are nothing special, basic package but that’s all she needs I think. As mentioned in my previous post, I will be riding it from time to time. As much as I love my viper, I’m kinda hoping I love the Polaris more!

    You will love it

The best dealer is the dealer that will jump through hoops to help you out and not just save you a couple of bucks, So far my experience with Peak in Barrie has been very positive.

The Polaris Snowcheck Program starts Feb 28th.

Agree on  Peak, although I use there other location.  I have been a long time customer of theirs.  Prior to that was go performance, as scotty said no longer around.

Stayed last night at the Le Relais 22 Milles inc.

An extremely hospitable place…. basic from an accommodation standpoint though.
The owners son treated all the guests to some singing, banjo and guitar playing at the bar - it was a very “normal” night out…. great times.

Todays ride was great as well, landed at Hotel du Jardin for the night.

We were up there a few years ago having lunch and a crew of guys came in with pretty sweet sleds all decked out with lights, extra gas etc.   One guy sat and had a beer with us.  It was Rob Gardner from cains quest.  Amazing guy with some great stories.  They had scouted the route they were going on with a helicopter.  All backcountry riding headed toward chibaugamauo.

  4. Bad news for sure for anyone that got that.  I can't see much changing for next year at this point.  Im sure manufacturers do not want to release  new sled  models after this year, but who knows.

Tough decision for people to make.  With there being virtually no dealer inventory it would be hard to cancel.  Although I can see snowcheck being extremely limited this year so that might make people hold out.

  5. Honestly there all good sleds.  It all depends on her.  She may not like the polaris for certain reasons and same for the ski doo.  If there is anyway you could get her to try one or 2 models out before buying it might help.  Might be worth a trip to a few dealers and see if she can sit on them(if they have any)  On the polaris side I would go down to the 650.
