I live one concession east of Cashtown Corners. Our snow will be mostly gone in the fields (where it was all wind blown) and only the big drifts will be left, trails are closed, and what is left will be ice when it freezes.... This winter is great this year!

Pouring rain in fergus right nowā€¦absolutely pouring.Ā
Iā€™m just thankful we got our last ride in from home while it was decent. Back to trailering/travelling again to finish off the season.

  2. Definitely needs a turbo and shock options. Iā€™m not sure about that throttle though. I personally think a cable style would be more reliable?? šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø

This was south end of FEB trails yesterday, that section is now closedā€¦šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø15556706-E5FF-4CC2-9316-3DBDC0988724.thumb.jpeg.22ccc9343043751e3992452cc000e6a1.jpeg

get after it while you can, 14 out of the next 14 days are forecast above freezing in Central lower Michigan, which will wipe out central lower Ontario's trails. probably hurt the near north a bunch too. sorry to be a debbie downer but, the forecast is there. Ski

Ya itā€™s definitely not looking good. Oh well, nothing we can do about it.

I don't know about other clubs butĀ  its 4 degrees here and I can see a brownish tinge on the trail already. Still lots of sleds out and about.

Sleds are definitely still out and have been passing my house all day. Ā Itā€™s supposed to drop to -7 overnight tonight, so weā€™ll see in the morning.

Hopefully it doesnā€™t Ā rain much. Really weird Ā weather. Sad really. You heading up north in March? Glad you got a nice ride in. How is little monster?Ā

Definitely weird weather this season. Iā€™m not sure what Iā€™ll be doing for March, if the weather keeps going the way itā€™s going to go I donā€™t think anyone will be riding in March lol. This is by far the worst season Iā€™ve experienced in a long time. Little one is doing ok, finally sleeping at night now, only took 2 friggin years!Ā

nice ride ,thats double what i put on .where did you find best snow ?Im hoping too that weather doesnt kill itĀ

It was really weird, some places have plenty of snow with tons of drifting and the trails could be green, and others just a dusting where youā€™re banging your skis of rocks and hard spots. It was hit and miss really. FEB, our club has some good trails right now, go north into Arthur, and crossing a field is brutal, all the hard bumps come right up through the bars. Itā€™s like this all over southern ontario right now.Ā
We like to put in a good ride, seasons are short.

Nice ride ride ride there is a thunderstorm coming Tuesday šŸ˜‚. Monday will be a good ride day šŸ˜Ž

Iā€™m hoping most clubs have their trails cleaned up before the incoming rain. šŸ¤žšŸ¼

We started out on the FEB trails which were freshly groomed (first tracks on them) and made our way over to Dundalk, then up through Honeywood & into Creemore. From there, we rode through Singhampton, Thornbury and through Walters Falls over to Owen Sound for lunch. After lunch we made our way down to Chatsworth on the rail bed which was table top, then down to Chesley, Hanover, through Mount Forest, down to Arthur and then home. Conditions were a mixed bag, ranging from really good to really bad. Total distance for todays ride was 491.1km. Letā€™s see what Monday bringsā€¦šŸ¤”

I had the na900 for 2 sleds. The 2021 Renne with 5 more HP and pdive was way better than the 2015.Ā  Friday we find out how the 130 HP is.Ā  Ā I would imagine Polaris motors are going to be similar to BRPĀ  Ā  Turbo will be really nice so hopefully Polaris gets it soon

Did you just buy a turbo ace this season?

  11. Sad news indeedā€¦

My Dad mentioned to me just yesterday that his buddy watched 2 guys ride out of penetang harbour over to Beausoleil island. Said they ā€œseemed to have made itā€ šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø

    Just makes you wonder sometimes.

  12. Definitely doable, I ride with a group in their 40ā€™s, I say their because Iā€™m not there yetā€¦still in my 30ā€™s lol.Ā
If conditions and the trails allow for it, you can do almost 500km in approximately 12hrs riding at a comfortable pace.Ā

I heard the club only grooms that piece Thursday. Not sure if thatā€™s correct but thatā€™s the word on the street. Maybe get a dentist to sponsor that piece, lots of fillings will shake loose.Ā

There were definitely a few sections that took a beating.Ā

Step off the trails and there is quite a bit. There was maybe 3 inches of fresh snow last night too. They have something to work with. Not as much snow as a normal year but not too bad either. Maybe winter will return.Ā

I agree, step off the trail in some areas and you sink up to your waistā€¦

closer to central Sudbury is lacking snow and the trails get beat up pretty quick, but the further north you go, it gets much better.Ā
winter I think is finally here. Short season, but letā€™s hope it stays this time.Ā

  15. Iā€™m definitely interested in the S4. When Polaris puts a turbo on it, thatā€™s probably when Iā€™ll trade the viper. 90hp just isnā€™t enough for me, Iā€™d be happy with 130-140hp turbo 4 stroke though. šŸ˜†
My wife and I went to rickwards last year and demoed some 650s, in short, amazing sleds! Still getting the wife one when the time comes as theyā€™re super light and more than enough power. If the S4 handles anything like the 650, Iā€™m sold on it. We backed out of our SP 650 order this year from rickwards unfortunately. Kinda regretting it, but kinda glad we did because itā€™s going to be a very short season! Iā€™m a die hard Yamaha guy, but I can say confidently that that matrix chassis is very very good!

  16. We went up Friday morning (20th) and rode the afternoon. It was decent, choppy in some spots, but still rideable. Saturday morning was pretty good, until just after noon. It was F****D, and I just wanted to walk out the bush lol. That time of year I guess.

  17. Problem solvedā€¦.for now lol.Ā
thanks for everyoneā€™s help in trying to diagnose my slow leak problem. I completely forgot I had put a plug in it last year and only noticed it while spinning my tire in the waterā€¦which wasnā€™t bubbling btw. I just saw it and thought, that sure does look like a plug and then realized that has to be where the leak is coming from. Anyways, itā€™s holding air now! šŸ‘ŒšŸ»

  18. So I decided to put the kids pool under the tire and fill it with water today. Turns out I previously installed a plug in this tire last year lol.

ripped out the old plug and put a new one in. Put some heat to the new plug to make it really tacky. Iā€™ll know in the morning forsure if that was the problemā€¦completely forgot about that.Ā

The grass is covered don't worry.

    Trails are gradually opening, slowly.

    Trails are thin but rideable.

Biggest problem is the same as everywhere else, water.

    Swamps aren't freezing up.

We have been plagued with breakdowns due to low snow, expensive breakdowns.

Sounds like itā€™s bad everywhere. I guess we still need cold and a major storm to roll through all of ontario.

big temp swings, make the air pressure change wildly. check the daytime night time, temps difference, or the temp difference when inflating, and checking. stranger things. Ski

It really only started loosing pressure as winter was starting. I kinda want to wait and see if it goes back to normal in the spring time, but not sure I want to keep adding air all winter long lol
