Missing Link have a public lot near Stonecliffe. A ways south of Mattawa, but an option.

Yep cross the bridge in town. Run out through millennium park and them take the sidewalk past the hotel. Gas is after it. not the most accessible, but it will work. You can usually get gas in lake st peter.

There is a bridge over the river. So no issues there. Bancroft to Lake St Peter is railed. Then good forest access roads the majority if the way north from there to Whitney. I haven't ridden it this year yet, but it should be ok. The Granite in Bancroft is the place to eat lunch. Right where B106E, hwy 62 and hwy 28 meet. It's a good restaurant. There is a park n ride right at millennium park in town to unload st or 15 mins north at Birds creek is a better lot. Its right on 62 on the west side of the highway between the south baptiste lk rd and musclow Greenview rd. Have fun.

I've got frost now though. Lol. 20 mm of rained soaked the ground and now it's froze.

Whitney and Stonecliffe both have 4" - 6" in the forecast for tomorrow. The traditional snowbelt areas will start opening up in a week or two. Won't be great at first, but it will come. Maybe we got our January thaw early this year.

Call the guys at tekrider that make the tekvest. They have what you're after.
Not showing on their website, but I know it's a product they make.
9:30 in the video.

Is the new trail to Hornepayne built?

Any sign of groomed trails in Dubreville or Wawa?

How do you find the rear mount blower that works going forward works? Do you have any issues with it in a heavy snow fall with traction issues? Will it pick the snow up that your tires just compacted after driving on it?

Just a heads up to all living in the Norfolk County area or have travel plans in or through the area... the county has pulled the plows off the roads... please stay at home. Roads are not officially closed at this point, but if and when the OPP does close them, just a reminder that your car insurance may not be valid when driving on a closed road.
Insurance companies are crooks with clauses like that. What happens if you have an emergency?

No experience with that particular one. I will say a good set of passenger hand muffs and heated grips go a long way to your passengers enjoying themselves. I'd look to ensure it comes with heated grips. Passengers tend to get more wind than the driver. They also aren't moving as much as the driver, so anything you can do to add warmth is a good idea.

What's everyone seeing on the ground. Was this a big flop again?

Yeah I don’t foresee wages decreasing. With the baby boomers retiring we were in for labour shortages regardless. Covid just compounded the issue with free money being dolled out and many people that were nearing retirement saying screw it and throwing the towel in early. I don't believe the main culprit of the inflation cycle were in was wage increases though. Has a lot more to do with material shortages . In the global economy we're in you can't shut down Chinese manufacturing without effecting everyone. Then many businesses took advantage of the opportunity of the pent up demamd and I'm sure made a killing. I doubt we are going back to 2019 prices, but things are definitely headed to a new normal that is somewhere closer to how things were pre-pandemic.

Well there's now 10 TC 167 triton trailers on kijiji. That says something about how the market is changing.

I'll stay out of the frost conversation. Trails are groomed around Peterborough. E208 and some of the club trails have had their first pass. If the weather holds they should open soon.

Pretty warm today. Need to wait for it to cool off before grooming or they'll be giving what they have for snow away. I could see some rail trails and farm fields opening next week. We got a heavy packy snow fall in the Peterborough area. Will make good base if things cool off.

It's like most things. Prices rise in a hurray. Will take some time for them to drop back. There is lots of 2019 sleds up for $17k. Basically what they paid for them new. I doubt they are selling.

For those that own them.how are the Bullitt trailers holding up over time? Any issues with them? Do you wish you had the extra 8" or whatever it is of additional head room that the TC167 has?

That I'd believe. That's High country that gets early snow.

After the issues in Smooth Rock in recent years it's nice to see them starting strong.

I don't think they're riding in Alma. Bare ground at all of the highway cam locations. That trail shows unavailable (grey) on the fcmq map. Have seen some posts of riding around Mont Valin. Doesn't sound like too much grooming has occurred yet though.

Sadly a lot of trips end up being 2:1 or 3:1 always in the trucks favour.

Beat the entire province of Quebec. Good for them.

Please educate me - why do they do the "Free Weekend"?

It's marketing. Ontario gave up on the idea. In Quebec they seem to have taken a somewhat different approach.
Brp and intact sponsored it which hopefully offsets some of the costs to the fcmq. I expect marketing materials to arrive from both companies.
