Typically around $40 yes.  Buy the permit with insurance.  Then go on the insurers website and claim your refunds.  Cheque will arrive in a months time.  You get it all back this way.  If you select no insurance when buying they charge an admin fee of like $20.  So you lose half the refund.

Does your liability from your OAP not extend to Quebec?

Pretty sure its being built on the Challenger platform so I'm sure that will make you feel better about them LOL. Good news is that they are apparently being assembled in Brampton. Like Stoney mentioned above, I read just after the initial pictures came out that Corporate was not going to let dealers away with jacking list prices on them.   Cool options like delete trunk interior trim and delete rear and passenger seat. Come standard on slicks.    0-60 MPH in 1.6 seconds. NHRA has apparently outlawed them from running in stock classes LOL.

    Lol, same thing.

    Needs some better dressing

Thats the MSRP. What they are getting is way higher. I know in the US they were asking way over 250,000 if you could get one.

If I am spending 250K or higher, I need something that looks more exotic than a Charger.

The 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 will be available at a Canadian manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of $130,890 (excluding destination and fees). Ordering for the Challenger SRT Demon 170 will close on May 15, 2023. Customer orders certified sold at MSRP will receive priority scheduling

Its too bad more places don't have an "autobahn" or something similar to it.

Such a waste of horsepower to be driving around on a road in Ontario

Only one type of gas in tanks at Costco all regular. Premium octane boaster is injected into stream of gas as it comes out of tank I was told. 🤷🏽‍♂️

    That is not correct.

I know people who deliver there.

E too in it now.  Not sure how much premium Costco sells. Mostly bikes buy it and never see them there.

    Might be where you're located.

Our Costco is typically loaded with vehicles that only take premium. No concern for me.

For the sled, we either jug in from town or hit Sprucedale - which in the wintertime, I'm not concerned about for Premium and it's never been an issue.

If has E in it, it has E in it, nothing I can do.

All gasoline fuels sold in Ontario have ethonal now. Tested shell station near me has e in 91 now 🤣
Time to buy  rec fuel in cans for storage. Already started with my small power equipment.

I think the VPower 94 is still void of ethanol isn’t it?

I think BRP would disagree with that statement.  Yamaha probably hasn't done well in the last few years paying someone else for their manufacturing and abandoning R and D which eroded their market share.

Well, that is BRP, this is Yamaha. They abandoned it for a reason, there was no money in it for them, so they focused their resources and efforts their efforts elsewhere.

To stay in the game, they tries an alternate solution, and have since confirmed there is no return in it for them, and have abandoned the sport altogether.

Yamaha is a very good and well run company, they know a loser when they see it.

The tech and money has always been in the mountain segment that trickled down to trail sleds as applicable, and with none or most of us not living in mountain regions, is it really dead or dying - who can comment on what has been seen in the mountains and if they are seeing the decline like the trail side of things?

I do not think it is dying, just becoming something a smaller demographic can afford and do for a shorter window, so manufactures will or should limit their offerings to the trail segment based on that.

Most large corporation are all about market share, even when it may not make financial sense - although I think that mentality has changed over the years, just look at Yamaha, will Cat be next....with a new chassis just finally released, I do not think so.

    Lol, that's dying........

Textron that owns CAT is big.  The concern is keeping them interested so Arctic Cat doesn't suffer a similar fate.  I don't think going to two OEM's would be a good thing for the sport.  Competitive drives innovation.

If Arctic Cat did not have the history it does behind its name - Textron would have sealed the coffin a long time ago.

    Agreed.

Great memories of the Venture, Apex. Not so fond memories of the starting -  issue plagued Viper.

For me it was Phazers, Exciters, the V-Max 4 and then the SRX - those are the ones I always liked.

Yamaha has always made a tremendous product, just no way to make any money at it any longer.

No doubt about that.  I was playing on the fact that did have a Firecat model for a few years back in the 2005 timeframe. I think it was an F7.

    Great sled

remember when this place was a real hot spot for sledders back in the 80s and 90s

looks a little run down these days

    For sale: 2159 PICKEREL/JACK LAKE Road, Burk's Falls, Ontario P0A1C0 - 40400592 | REALTOR.ca

My parents used to take us there sledding in the early 80's before we had a place of our own. We'd drag the two John Deere's up there and ride a few days each winter.

    Good times!

I had a t-shirt from there about Jackalope's - would wear it to school and people were so confused :)

Anyway, was a great place and great area for us for many years, brings back some great memories.
