So with the rules right now in Quebec and Ontario,  is there anyone heading out for a trip in a week or so?.

I’m not planning any rides till our Quebec trip the 21 .  Hopefully by the time I get back Northern Ontario will be opened up more so I can make it to Dubreuilville ether from the north or south . It’s been almost two years since I’ve seen most of my friends there .

No concerns related to Covid restrictions? I guess if you are normally in bed by 8 PM, the curfew is not a big deal!!

No I’m not in bed by 8 lol .But you got to do what ever it takes to ride . I’ve told you before kinda hard to ride when we are dead .Besides I like a challenge when a trip goes perfect it’s kinda boring .

Also there is a speedo recalibration recall out, vin specific for the sleds that had the ECUs shipped after the sleds where shipped,  and the ECUs where programmed at the dealers.  And there is a 2 stroke oil pump recalibration recall alo. Dealers will have all the info..At least the good dealers will..

I picked my sleds up over 4 weeks ago and the dealer had already done the oil pump recalibration recall so I would assume most sleds should be done

I spoke to the gentleman doing the Hearst tours and his name is Dany G. Seemed like a top notch guy based on the call.

The route is Hearst to Tozers camp (Onakawana) or right to Moosonee via the rivers (too long of names to spell out). But to be clear this is river running so limited playing around in the powder from what I understand. The trips can be customized some too I guess.

Anyway, that is the route up, the route back is via the Moose and Abitibi rivers and the Abitbi power line down through Fraserdale and to Smooth Rock Falls (then you can proceed wherever you’d like from there via the trail system). This route back would be basically the same as the Moosonee trip from Cochrane. Some river running, some trails from Cochrane to base camp at the Abitibi dam, and some hydro lines which seem to allow for some more playing around in the powder.

anyway, that’s my take, hope it helps some decide on the trip.

That’s who I would want to guide me I’ve seen how him and his kids ride it’s amazing !!

Gaspe and Spring storms - Nice. This is a mid Feb storm, which ended up shortening the trip for everyone, and ending the season for me. Gaspe, you have to factor in weather days. It can take them 2 days to get trails open after a storm. Great riding when the trails are open.

  6. Sounds like 2 stroke oil is going to be a problem . I filled all my bulk containers this morning my dealer has no oil yet so I went to another dealer he said they will run out if if’s a good winter also they will soon limit how much you can buy at a time . So it might not be a bad idea to stock up
