Flight locks are a series of locks proximate to each other. Enter, rise, door opens, rise again. Almost like climbing stairs They still exist on the TSW.
Thanks for pointing out where the flight locks were converted to a lift lock, CC.
Great summer / winter pic, Nunz.

Nutter had some great pics years ago. Same idea - winter ( sled ) and summer ( motorcycle ).
Great pic of thistle doo, above. Winter's better

No the culverts are not for the C trail. The trail crosses the highway at Hartley Bay Rd and stays on the west side of the highway and continues across the French River Bridge.
The culverts north of Hartley Bay will be the trail crossing beneath the new highway. Aecom are telling us the winter of 2022 will be using the culverts north of Hartley Bay Road.
Great information, Kaz. What a production (tunnel) compared to just skipping across the highway on a sled.
I've 'put in' canoes at Hartley Bay- very scenic. I'd imagine that the rivers we canoed on (French, Pickerel) have too strong a current / don't freeze downstream for safe snowmobile passage. Beautiful, nonetheless.

At 4:00 you can see a northbound sled on the TOP C bridge.
You know that you're a sledder when .... movement on a snowmobile trail (bridge) catches your eye LOL.
Good catch, great video.
Not up there in the summer, always light traffic in winter but imagine that the twinning will make a world of difference.

Thanks for the info., Jason T.

Sudbury' s fantastic. Look at the loops. You can base there and do 3 different daily loops, with very little trail overlap. Northeast, northwest or south. And they groom, consistently.

Yep, Sudbury a few weeks ago ( hockey tournament ). Therefore stayed a bit out of town ( Valley Inn, Azilda ) - trailside, worked out.

Stayed south. Family function tonight. Hope you had sled traffic. Great day for it. Sunny, mild.

The area just north of Barrie is one of the few 'green' spots close to GTA. Has anyone been there this week, after the rain and warm-up?
Just a day trip.
Barrie>Midhurst>Craighurst>Elmvale
C trail back south to Sno Voyageurs clubhouse parking.
Any local input is appreciated.

Thete are other good options in New Liskeard: Econolodge, Quality Inn, Holiday Inn Express to name three.
For the first time in 20 years, disappointed in the New Liskeard Quality Inn (rooms) during a visit with wife a few weeks ago.
Place was empty (Sun to Tues trip), yet they gave us a room at the back - way in the corner. Carpet in hallway was recently replaced...until we got to our area. Old and musty. So what. .. inside room will be re-done. Nope. They hadn't gotten around to it. More accurately, hadn't gotten around to the 'King' bed rooms .
Travelling with a buddy ... NL Quality with 2 beds may be fine. Don't go for the King beds at this property - time warp in those (back) rooms. We were on the trails, out and about so not a huge issue. But at $160 a night, 3 nights...invoice over $500 .. won't return.
All 3 hotels named by Blake plus Waterfront are owned by the same company in New Liskeard. They charge what they want, renovate (or don't) when they want.
(actually noticed a hotel in Engelhart that look very proximate to trails - http://www.englehartmotel.com/. $76 a night, and from pics looked liked the furniture in the Quality Inn. Across from the gas station ... many trail choices)

See you sunday
Sudbury " loop" trails are groomed, not much traffic.
Having lunch at Kelly's Diner, Cartier. Folks that run it care...open 6 am to 9 pm every day, fresh food. Highly recommend Kelly's.

Two days with son in Sudbury area. Staying at the Valley Inn. Feel bad for moonlight and Chateau Guay owners - cut off from trails, so we're trying out Azilda lodging.
Motel owners are nice. Property is well kept.

How do I report this to a moderator, LOL.
Grrrrrr (all around). Spent Sunday sanding/staining a deck, Monday hunched over waxing a boat. Back hurts (time for a Doo couch?).

As for OP, copying all around - as noted. Wonder if this was built into the Textron purchase price.
