Would seem like a short cut westbound back towards Top E, but wondering about other potential obstacles. Ended up taking 181 back north off of Baptiste, on to 179 which by the way was pristine. ipgreen09 Posted February 10, 2010 Share Posted February 10, 2010 Hey, Been on Baptiste for 40 years, the run from Elephant Lk to Baptiste has some open areas, if you dont know the lakes, best to stay away. It is a river running between the two lakes and can be frozen in the morn and open in the aft. The trail you took (179) is always pristine, not travelled much.
