I'll Ride Anything
May be as its heading to Waynes World next weekend for a diagnosis, I fear the crank has some issues. Son may or may not fix it his wallet is thin currently. Sons sled just died while at idle then made some ugly lower end sounds and wouldn't run. Has 2 year old studded track (Camoplast I believe) in perfect condition and new rebuilt primary clutch with maybe 150 miles on it. Sled is XLT Special with reverse. Anyone has interest in any of these parts will help him decide whether to part out or fix.

Mossy
What kind of money are you expecting to get for the whole sled? I might be interested.
I'll Ride Anything
Son is now considering a tear down in the off season to see whats what in the engine. I figure its the crank but not positive. We had changed the head gasket over the summer as he had some leakage but found the head bolts were just loose. Changed it anyway since it was apart. Cylinders looked perfect. He's pretty broke currently, I'm sure he'd entertain an offer. Have pics here somewhere if needed.
Mossy
My best guess is the PTO side bearing is seized. If he wants to rebuild or not let me know.
