county ride

I enjoyed a great ride throught the county yesterday. We left from Trenton down the bay to Rossmore. From there south to Picton and then further south to Wapous. We love going to see Vas at the pub but he wasnt around. From Picton to Wapous hadn't been groomed yet this year i think?? but I did see the groomer parked in a field so maybe it will be by the weekend. We decided to head over to Isaih Tubbs for lunch then. Off we go around the south end of Picton past the old airbase. Pull uop to Isaiah's and its closed too. (by the way it was freshly groomed form Picton to here). Next we take the split north to the railbed west of Picton. Next it was off to JJ's in Bloomfield. Awesome meal -- 1/2 price wings on Wed. They are awesome. Then we headed towards Wellington and took the trail back to wards Ameiasburg. There is a land owner?? disagreement along this trail with a closed gate. We found the unmarked route around it via an ajoining field. Ended up doing a short road run and back on the trail (thanks to the local bus driver for the escort). From there we went back through Rossmore and home. Just a little over 200km's. I love County rides!!

Nice day out i bet. How long/far is it to ride from Trenton to Picton? Where in Trenton did you start/drop? Is there some good eats on the trail around Picton?

I unloaded at my buddies house down on the bay. I would think you could unload at any of the boat launches in town.

It was 20 km down the bay and probably another 40 to picton. You can eat at the Waring house in Picton. It is right on the tracks west of town. They serve good food.
