I have a friend looking for a second sled that his adult kids can use.   Ideally he wants a Skidoo Renegade 900 Ace.   Good friggin luck!   I have been looking for him and what I found was a lot of 800 and 850 sleds.   The odd 1200 and a few 600 Carb sleds.   No Ski-doo 900 ACE, turbo or non-turbo.   Even the 600eTec is a hard find that doesn't have a million miles on it.

If people that are new end up with what's available, we are going to have some hurt people on our trails.  :(

Looking for a sled for the wife, newer than '05. yea.. Lots of not so good sleds out there. 6k for a 2005 600 with 17k miles, rebuilt by back yard joe, i forsee a lot of sled's on the sides of trails this year if newcomers end up buying some of this stuff. It will be interesting..

I think that its ridiculous.   I get the point of  30 seconds of that message, but whoever decided we should all watch the OFSC propaganda BS video should go F@#k off!

I almost refused to complete my order.   Take the permits and shove them!

If there is a video next year, I'm out!!   I'll ride without.

Im just gonna place this Snickers right here....

Yesterday, we rode from Sportsman around Wolf loop down to Rocky, over to Capreol and then worked our way across to Warren and to Noelville. All trails were hard, fast and had adequate cooling. Will be better on weekend with grooming on-going.

Why is there no signs for Sportsmans on trail? Is there some dis-agreement there?

D104 headed south to Warren / Kates is my favorite trail.! Look forward to riding it every year.

How is the snow holding up after the rain and warm temps? - heard New Liskeard is going to place trails as yellow , so they must have lost a lot.

Supposed to get 5cm tonight or so. sadly i think this weekend will be last call around Sudbury. Supposed to get + temps after this week. Our snow dropped really fast because we hardly had enough to begin with.

  6. Just over 200 miles between Yesterday and today. Friday the trails were fantastic. All freshly groomed. Today went D104 to Kates, then Warren and back home. Trails were still In good shape. Some rough spots, bare spots. Still lots of rocks in some areas. Met groomer on rail bed on way home. So they are out, and doing an excellent job keeping up with al the traffic.

Was soo nice to sit in a restaurant again to eat.

  7. We have a bit more snow coming early next week. Being local i can give you my thoughts. I have not been on all the trails mind you, and this is just my opinion.

Good trails: D104, NV500, C206 up east side of wolf mountain.(didn't go down the other side) Trail #83, C105, C111D, D almost to Garson, C/D is decent.

Not so good: #64 and C out of Rocky's, #56, C railbeds, #71 across the big lake.

Everyone's idea of great varies of course, kinda like buying a used sled. Above is based on the amount of rocks, sticks, logs, slag, etc i have run over using the above trails.:)

Video is pretty grainy but that didn't even look like much of a corner? That guy shouldn't be able to operate a sled again

Attached is picture showing how far off the trail my friend was. The corner is just at the top of the picture. The video is much better quality on the phones.

As well last Sat had a close call with with my daughter as she hit a compression bump and was thrown from the sled, luckily it was in an area with not trees, just some tall grass. She was shaken up, and this was a good wake up call as to how dangerous sledding can be, even when you are not driving crazy fast.

Good weekend to be off the trails anyway. Lots of crazy. Have Video of  my friend getting hit by a Yamaha blowing the corner 1/2  hour into our ride. Broke some panels  bent his running board, luckily not seriously hurt. Ended our ride early. We will go during the week instead....
