I have one use for my heavy touring 1200cc and renegade 600. Works well, but most of the time just taking space in my garage and waiting for my pinky 😁

Although I have no memory of the day or my time in Sunnybrook hospital (they took me by air ambulance) my wife and son saw it happen and gave me the details. On March 20th I decided to cut down a dead tree on the property not far from the house. I was about 20 feet up on the ladder. The 3rd branch i cut off was about 10 inches in diameter and when it hit the ground it shot back and hit the ladder. Although I had the top of the ladder tied off there was enough force for it to kick the bottom of the ladder out and I fell 20 feet to the ground landing on my left side and head. My first memory was when they moved me to rehab about a month after the fall. I had eyesight issues that resolved themselves at the 6 month mark. At the 7 month mark, I was able to get my drivers licence back. I still have no sense of taste or smell which happens to many who suffer a traumatic brain injury and also many who have had Covid. Unfortunately I got covid while in Sunnybrook after I finally got out of ICU. There is nothing the doctors can do to help me get it back. You can have similar injuries when falling 6 feet or falling 20 feet according to the doctors I have spoken to. I was 55 years old when it happened last year enjoying my first year of retirement.
It has been a terrible journey for me and my family. Many dont survive falling from a ladder. I am a lucky one they tell me. Please be carful when using ladders. They brain injury therapists I saw in Whitby after I finally got home, told me that there isn't a time that they dont have at least 10 people who suffered a brain injury from a fall from a ladder.
Oh man, I feel sad for you. Hopefully you will totally recover. It can happen with anybody and change your life in a second. Be careful and care about yourself and family.

Could you simply put the relay in your pocket for a while?
I did I bring them in a room and keep around 5 min, maybe not enough as I put them back and engine didn't start.

Instead of carrying spares and dealing with changing them out in the cold, why not buy & install a solid state relay and be done with the issue?
It's good idea, I couldn't find solid state for now it's back order. So will update next season for now just will keep a spare one

Which relay would that be and where is it located? I've only had to deal with the reverse solenoid relay on mine, and would like to know if case that happens to me (2014 GT). Thanks!
Ok fuse box located on right side on top if you open right side cover you will see it no doubt. Its 3 relay inside I switched one marked power with taillights, got sled alive but taillights was down around 15 min and after sled reached normal temperature, I've got taillights back to normal as well.
Anyway bought a spare relay and put it in my toolbox. I hope it helps.

We are waiting on Mother Nature to change the lower part and the west side from yellow to more green before booking our annual ride around the park.
Other side of coin it was not to many people on trail, as people wait for better conditions

Your group seems to have a thing about arms up or out! Great pictures, thanks for sharing...
Arms up means never give up 😉

Have same problem with relay 2 days ago in a morning -27C on my 2017 skidoo Grand touring 1200. Won't start, even no lights on dashboard, completely dead. Switched relay with taillights and back to normal. Will keep spare relay in my toolbox. Lesson learned..

I have a second plan if trails stay closed on west side, we start from Whitney and will ride East side of Algonquin
I still shaking in my boots, due this mild weather, but lucky me trails are open so we are on schedule and start our RAP Thursday morning🤩

You might need a chase truck/trailer to float you around the closed trails on the west side of the loop. I know you wouldn't trespass on closed trails.

I'm stuck with my new trailer purchase. I ordered a new trailer from Georgian Bay trailers and put a deposit in June, still can't get it, last time I was told it's coming before Christmas, now in the middle of January. Production is way behind schedule and like they say "We can't sell what we don't have". Also they increased the price by $1000. I sold my old trailer, better to say I took a deposit for it and now I'm between two walls. Last thing I want, it's stuck for a winter without a trailer. 🤔
