That’s easy to do. Buy sled and I gladly organize a track on lake musoka for you. I design a 10 km oval track and see if you can break world record of 88 miles an hour for 24 hours straight. With that sled should be easy to do. Should be able to get 2280 miles in 24 hours. 😎

Easy??? Obviously you have never been in an honest snowmobile race never mind an endurance race.

  2. A marina close to me sells unbranded regular marine fuel with no ethanol.  There is no stations on Simcoe or Couchiching with high test fuel.

On the Trent System at Big Chute they are selling unbranded mid grade ethanol free marine gas and no other gasoline with any other octane ratings.
In Georgian Bay there is a mixed mash of stations with everything you can imagine.

I really liked that tailgate.  But being Mr. OCD, when I ordered my new truck this spring,  I removed that tailgate option, and went with the normal tailgate..

    OCD? Like me?

I do annual inspections daily, I am always adjusting self adjusting brakes.

Yes. Usually everything is seized up. If I can’t adjust them, they get new hardware kits. It is not worth my time to save those parts. The customers usually complain about that so I give an economics lesson. $65.00 for a new kit or $100.00 for me to clean and lubricate it.

thanks for correcting me on that. Speeding tickets on the trail don't cross over but HTA would apply at road crossings I would think.  Interestingly, a quick look at the MSVA shows nothing regarding Impaired driving so does the HTA apply on the trail for that charge?

Impaired driving is described and charged as a criminal act. Totally separate from HTA and MSVA.

It is an Easton clamshell. Does anyone know if Easton have their own specs for axle or can I get one from Cerka or Princess Auto? I have not had a chance to measure the hub to hub and SC as yet because I'm still working to save the existing axle.

Many torsion axle assemblies have a serial number plate/badge on the center of the axle under the trailer. That will tell the manufacturer of the axle the exact specs so you can get another identical axle. Also if they have that number, they can manufacture another axle for you with the same specs.

Don't underestimate the power of the common person, lol. Back before I started "Living the dream" by working for myself I was a Truck and Coach tech. The things we would see roll into the shop on a regular basis would frighten just about anyone off the roads for good.

Been there done that. Trying to retire but the dumb questions just keep on coming!!!

It's not the not moving enough part that is causing the tire wear on the inside of the tire. Not moving enough is merely one of the symptoms of the same problem along with the tire wear.

If one section of the torsion rubber is damaged either by dry rot, worn out or unevenly worn it may cause both tire wear and a lack of motion. The tire wear comes from the end of the torsion axle is no longer sitting squarely to the axle tube because of the worn out or damaged rubber.

Rubber damage by dry rot, wear, or uneven wear rarely causes lack of lever movement unless it is so bad it is jammed into the outer axle tube.

Your explanation of tire wear is right on the money. Best explanation I have seen yet!! 🙂
