Ran into an OPP and Conservation Officer at the Pointe Au Baril Shell north of Parry Sound Thursday, both on sleds.
Said they were out checking for sledders and fisherman. They appear to be the only one's riding table top groomed trails LOL

How did the virus get here? And what about the other variants? Hmm !
I wonder what government could have possibly done a year ago? Strange!

Sounds like it was a completely emotional decision.
How does one snowmobile become a super spreader?

Still illegal just like your your last idea. Sled clubs are trying to do it legally. I'm done with this now. Bye Bye.
Yep! Can't fix stupid!

I can sled down the lake and avoid the trail and no one says a word!

Interesting regarding boating as the last time I put the boat in Lake Belwood I had to pay to do it. Maybe that has changed.
People park on side road and walk their canoes, kayaks, tinners down and launch them anything bigger you have to use the launch

People pay to boat on GRCA waterways one way or another so it cannot be compared to the snowmobile issue. The GRCA is not the only " landowner" who had issues with snowmobile clubs last season..
People walk, bicycle, ride horse and fish/boat and don't pay a cent to access land, or water I live there and witness it everyday

Funny how people were able to go boating on GRCA waterways all summer with no issues?

Vintage Photos
Since we are waiting for snow, how about we share some vintage photos from years gone by. I was going through my collection this morning and it certainly brings back some great memories. Here's one; my 1st XLT - a 1993 580 SKS. Had great results with this sled. Triples were hot in the 90's. I even bought the matching helmet and jacket. Have no idea why I sold the sled?
Looking forward to seeing other rider photos.
I still ride my 96 xlt don't having matching suit though! And my hair not as long!

Something doesn’t seem right. This stuff always seems to happen at worst possible time. Hopefully it doesn’t affect permit sales next season. Wait and see.
It would have been nice to know before we all bought Permits for the year! It all came to light after Dec 1st! Pretty sneaky on the OFSC part!

It's ok for now but if we get a bit warmer just be careful running down the lake the Grand River can really start flowing!
