I don't like how they are charging for different colors.

Maybe when your #2 you have to follow the leader,I agree some of the Colours are a bit off.--Colours is the Canadian spelling.

As unfortunate as this is, there are many volunteers who have spent many, many hours, days and weeks getting ready for the season, and also have to buy their passes.

How do you think they feel?

See my reply elsewhere in this thread.

In the case of CP Rail they are likely using this opportunity to eliminate as much traffic on their right-ofway and rail crossings as possible for the entire year.  Make outrageous liability demands of the OFSC and know full well that it can’t be accepted.

Dirty pool to do that just as season gets going.

Why do you think it is necessarily the fault of the OFSC?

If landowners like CP Rail or some Conservation Authorities make outrageous demands concerning liability insurance, especially in December or January then what can the OFSC do about it.

Unfortunately the Landowner has all the power and it is very unfortunate that they choose to change their policy at the last minute.  Very unfortunate situation and Clubs and Districts have their hands tied especially if they are signing a LUP and cannot in fact meet the legal and liability requirements stipulated by the landowners.

hopefully we will hear more details as time passes.

There is a CP crossing that is used by fishing people, actually it,s not a crossing, just used. The CP police started fining people, until they got the wrong guy. Assess to traditional fishing grounds. We have a Xing on a trail on first nation landl, don't think we have to worry about that one.

  6. What a week disappointment on the OFSC press release same old reteric,it's up to the clubs. Most clubs don't have the ability to understand the underwriting of the LUP's .Some districts do.This is the beginning of the end.As a 50 yr snowmachiner and 30 yr volunteer including all positions on the executive. The continued lack of support from the  handsomely paid hands in Barrie has become to much. This situation should have been addressed last year when it became apparent.Shame on the payed staff in Barrie for leaving this to the clubs.

Off to do a bridge repair at dawn, this will be my last one.

The Lake was staked today. Lots of riders on it..... including me :icon_steer:.  Lindsay to Haliburton in great shape, lots of riders out on the trails.

Are you confusing Head Lake in Haliburton with Haliburton Lake which is some distance away and still  is marked RED.If so your post should be deleted or a correction made.

Semi retired... I do consulting work on an irregular schedule. I would build tomorrow if my wife would agree... suddenly when it was time to do so she decided she doesn't want to move. Says it's too far from her friends that she's known since about 5 yrs. old. Ironically one of them, her husband told me he's about 1.5 years from retirement... he says they will move to B.C. and winter in Arizona. I asked if his wife was on board with that and he says it was her idea.

Your wife needs to talk to Skeeters other half, she was iffy in the beginning and now doesn't want to go to Orrila  or Midland. Too busy.Put your foot down man and get rid of planes flying over your head 24/7.Friends can always visit.

We had trail from 17/18 come up on the ITG in 18/19 season that we were not using or signing.

Our request to have it removed from the ITG was to take 30 days, which sounded crazy in the first place, it did not happen.

District  admin should be able to that in a minute.

Lots of trails going green in the area. I am a bit shocked at how many are disappearing and broken links. ouch.:(  what should be 18km is now a 57km detour to Grandma's house, Kids wont make it that far.

What is going to be the best way going forward? Closed for the season or just not open yet. ITG odiously doesn't have that capability.
