In the new Snowest that just came out, they were dooing a comparison between some version of the 2023 Summit, an RMK (or whatever term Pol uses these days), and what they referred to as "an Arctic Cat Mountain Max (in blue).

I understand that some folks can cross, but - as over 50% of the folks (on either side likely) I don't meet the needed criteria.
I fully expect to be able to cross soon. But couldn't a few weeks ago when I would have wanted to.

It's not really that simple.
It doesn't mean that you are not allowed there by law.

The west side is likely Crown that has an easement from the Hydro?

In Algoma area, a green trail mostly means that you now need a permit, or a local camp to be here.
When it's red - you can be there with anything that you want. (if it's Crown)
Snowmachine (in June if you like), Camper, Swamp Buggy (those guys can doo a lot of damage ina short time!) Camper, even a transport if you like.
Also means that the OFSC isn't liable for any damage.
Forget the fact that it's Ride at'cher own risk anyhow ...
I'm guessing that the day that Halfway said that they were closing for the season, that the trails all went red in that area.
With the report of all that new snow and closed trails - If I had the ability to scootch accrost the St. Mary's River, I'd'a been there in a heartbeat! (or maybe 9 hours of them anyhow)

But watching a few vids like this tells me that I don't want a turbo.
I don't want to listen to those things pump'n dump all day.
My chums M11 was cool for a bit, but listening to 2 strokes with them, nah....

A cpl yrs ago I was watching a vid about "Going up the waterfall".

We started that trip back in '08, and burnt down two carbed sleds from the steady throttle in a lean spot while pulling a big sleigh.
Should have raised the needles one or two notches I guess...
We was planning on camping out overnight(s).
Decided I'd try it aggin when we all have fuel infected or 4 strokes.

My daughter had one (wolf) at least that close, only SHE was the one that bolted!
At 14 yrs old and not all that much experience, she held that 470 liquid to the bars while trying to navigate a swamp, knowing full well that he was nipping at her snowflap the whole way - 'till she found someone. (me)
That was the last time that she has came to Canada with me, and the 2nd last time she has went sledding.
(Partly doo to being busy with other stuff as she got older, but ....)

Actually, I am purty sure that they just load a fuel truck on the train and unload it on the other end, fill the petro station, and load it back up and go home. It's not THAT involved...

Well, maybe....
I seen a bobcat on our square a cpl years ago.
Looked just like a big cat, but much shorter and bobtailed. (from my vantage point driving down the road)
It didn't have the "lynx" look to it like most bobcats, but I have seen pics of a bobcat that looked like this, so...
But there have been some sightings in our area of a big cat with a long tail.
My buddy (>70) hasn't seen it, but he said that his wife and son both say that they have seen a long tail.
But why are we not seeing reports from game cams? Hmmmm..... ???
On the flip side, I saw a lynx mounted in a DNR office in Colorado, and I asked if it was local, and they said that it was hit on the road up around Leadville. (north central part of the state) Typically they are not seen south of the 49th.

We have a round-about in Angola, Indiana (just 30 smiles from me) that has been there as long as I have known. (45 yrs at least)

It is the center of town and only 1 lane, and trucks doo fine there.
Just in recent years when Toledo started installing them - have I experienced a 2 lane round-about.
I had to have a "WHOA!" moment to figger out how this worked!
And those are not nearly as large as the one in Angola at all, and my BIL says that "You jist let the trailer run where it wants to and be done with it."
I don't think that I have been through one of the 2 lane jobbies with my trailer yet.
