The place is for sale, right?. I see it was on realtor.ca a few weeks ago..

Listing is no longer online apparently.  I wonder if it sold?  Is it still open?  We rode up from Dunlop Lake Lodge a couple of years ago.  Lovely little plcace....a diamond in the ruff so-to-speak!  Loved it.   A welcome bowl of hot soup of the day.  We took a peek into the cabins - very comfortable indeed!  We talked about one day heading back there to stay a couple of days to ride.  We will need to plan something there maybe next year :icon_steer:

Haven't tried a yurt,  is there a washroom/toilet within?   Or do we need to walk outside to another building?

I believe they have some sort of "comfort station".  Best to contact them for details and find out exactly what they have to offer  Great folks and good food onsite

Congrats on your new sled !! I was wondering what happened to the snow today, my lawn is bare now this morning it was white. BTW what are your ski's on that is quite the dolly if that is what I am guessing ??

Thanks!  Yes....just patches of snow now...almost all gone sadly

The sled is sitting on a sled dolly.  They are AMAZING!  We purchased them a number of years ago at St. Onge Recreation....it is what they use to move their sleds around the showroom as well.  You drive the sled right up on top of it.......and then can either drive off the front or back off ...whatever you like.  It extends to hold a longer track which is what we have it set on for the Renegade - or, you can slide it forward for the shorter track sleds.  Easy to move around in the garage or shop...and also when offloading sleds onto pavement like today....we just drive it right off the trailer onto the dolly and roll up the driveway into the garage!  TaDa!  Much better than those little things you place under the skis and sled that constantly fall off when you try to move them around much!  LOL

  4. hmmmm.... picking up the new sled tomorrow.    :woot:...however - theoretically, one could ride it until say..March...then sell for more than what you paid for it I think given the prices that I a seeing as well!   :rotflmao:  The dealer said that those that ordered their sleds at the end of March - may be lucky to see their sleds until the end of Feb or March.  It is another CrAzY year for sure!

But if the sleds don't come in until the same time..........

The parts you need may not be around when the sled comes in if it is after the New Year which is why I grabbed my windshield now.  Sled has arrived minus the windshield and was going to have to wait as they are backordered at St. Onge with no date as to when they will get more stock.....Mrs. Turbo Doo did some "surf sleuthing" and found some at Factory Rec and another dealer near Owen Sound.  I grabbed myself one and also for my cousin who also has the Renegade X minus the windshield...when he called to pay for his they had already sold 3 more....so....... I think the motto is this year is "grab it while you can"  Just my 2 cents ;)

Is the medium you are referring to, part # 860201258.....that is 3" higher than the stock windshield that comes on my X?

Yes.....I also have the X and wanted the medium windshield for better protection from the cold.  Hard to find this year.  Cousin just called me back and said when he called Factory Rec about a half an hour ago - 3 more had already sold....so they are going fast.

FYI, for those OC members who ordered new 22's this season, it's best you get your accessories all lined up. I have a box full at my dealer for our 2 new '22 900 Turbo R's,  and am road tripping it tonight and Saturday for a few more items to complete our list. Just a FYI.....Seems like a few things are backordered until mid Jan and Feb..

Absolutely agree!  Thanks to Mrs. Turbo Doo...she did some research and found the medium windshield I am missing.  Huge thank you~!!  BTW.....Factory Recreation currently has 30 of them in stock (of minus 2 that I needed)...so now 28!  Currently back ordered at St. Onge with no delivery date available....so it is worth the drive if you need one, they will probably be sold out soon!:icon_steer:😋

Thats what I thought - the field..

Better bet is the Comfort Inn -- A trail directly across the road and rooms are nicer imo ;) for the Mrs.  We usually stay at the Advantage , but not as upscale as the Comfort Inn, however, rooms are clean and restaurant is right there as well as trail access across the road

I'm thinking Cochrane and there's an abundance of hotels in the area (incl. Timmins) with free cancellation in case the conditions don't develop.

What are your recommendations? As I'll be with the Mrs, its will have to be a "nicer" hotel..lol

Also considering north of the Sioux as an alternative.

Not PQ as we have a trip planned for later in January.

    Thoughts?

I second staging from Kap.  A little further to drive from Cochrane - but lots of choice on hotels on the A trail and you can do a day trip to either Cochrane and/or Hearst either way.  I really enjoy the trails in that area as well.  We have stayed in a few hotels there - a little more upscale would be the Comfort Inn - right across the street from A trail.  Enjoy!  We are headed there as well - but not until end of Feb/early March
