  1.    Finally new owners with some pride. This once proud landmark may well have a future again! The new owner Anu has invited the club to base our groomers and fuel tanks there again as well as having given us the full use of the shop for service.

Our family went there for dinner tonight and it was quite good the restaurant and bar are both freshly painted and very clean. They are understaffed as they will have to attract a whole new team as the old owner had run it right into the ground. Over all I am impressed and optimistic.

I guess sledders aren't allowed @ the motel either?

Sledders are allowed they just have to break the law and beat up their sleds to get there. This is amoung the reasons that we are moving our muskoka store to a new location ON TRAIL!

I see that Crappy Tire has moved their gas bar across the street and is now adjacent to the Comfort Inn motel.

Yes and the town of huntsville will not allow sleds to cross for gas

Uuuhh, usually the horse counteracts the smell:lol:

But, really is it all that bad? I put 23 of them down in the garage, it took maybe 6 months so it didn't smell like a condom factory!

Condom factory ? Sounds like LMV's ex.

On the way over to irREVerentland last Fri' afternoon, there were a few cars parked in the lot by the Firehouse and a few people on the deck between the building and lake. I didn't notice an open side (not the easiest spot for gawking around). It was after 10 PM when I drove back thru so it was pretty quiet @ most businesses.

I believe that it is cottages only

I agree, and would further suggest the government has to respond to public outcry (and to properly conducted research) if they want to DO their job.

And thus the press becomes so powerful by deciding which story to promote the hardest

I'm not one to vent on here or the internet in general but this topic has touch the right or wrong nerve.

Everytime there is a death from alcohol related accident it adds support to organizations like MAD. When a high profile event happens like that billionaire kid who killed the 3 kids and grand dad that creates a lot of support for increased enforcement and Ottawa or queens park have no choice but respond.

The OPP are the tools the government responds with and change the rules to respond to the lobbying groups demands.

If people smartened up there would be less enforcement not more like we have now

make the punishment on the ones that screwed up public and brutal as a deterrent

The point here is there is zero presumption of innocence and a total disregard of our legal rights.  For me it matters none since I don't drink and ride, but that really isn't the point being made.

and that is the thin edge of the wedge

I rode a few hundred miles with a 5000 cat , after 3 tanks of fuel l averaged about 25% more on each tank on my new Yamaha. Now that it is broke in it has only gotten slightly better, the turbo makes it easy to burn a bit more. I think for the price you can not go wrong buying that cat 5000!

    pretty solid sled great engine
