The Quebec Report

                Ok group Thought it wood be interesting if guys and gals would post there food experiences, trail conditions,fuel considerations and any no no 's  in Quebec    I can tell you that are group was at the Outfitters Mekos and 100 lakes about 120 km north.For those of you who are not familiar with outfitters these  are lodges with rooms,cottages and chalets.They generally have great food ,fuel ,liqueur and pretty much everything you need for snowmobiling .  The trail conditions north of sainte anne du lak  on jan 7-8   can best be described as #401 of trails with approx 8 inch of hard packed table top snow and typically a few inches of powder.Stepping off the trail will put you in snow up past your knees. We have done pretty much all of Ontario for many years and we have exhausted the trails here.  Just finished with the Abitibi region over the last few seasons and starting to head further East this season into Quebec and the Maurice area and laurentides.  Should be a great year.  Can't beat Quebec IMO.  Snowmobiling is a way of life over there so they take their grooming and their trails seriously.
