  1. Hey Stoney, I would still do Gaspie. That is a great trail but you have so much else to take in you won't know what your missing. I cant recall any bridge so my guess is they are small...ish, territory is remote and hilly. Likely more to the bridge story, ownership and who foots the bill my guess, I may find out more. If you need some tips/info I've been a few times.  Think we live near each other so we could tip back a few beers one day.

  2. First time I went up there we had to arrange for gas sent up by truck and come down the same side. Owner of Best Western was club president I think and helped us out. Felt like discovering a new world. As nutter said it's like a tourist stop now, havnt been in years.

All I know is that I called the Amosphere and asked if we can eat in the restaurant and the lady said no problem at all.    My buddies were just at the Forestel last week and ate there as well.     I do know that there are some places that are not allowing out of region people to sit down though like La Cage at Rouyn.

Hey Scott, I was there a week ago, Amos had restuarant closed and no sit down(open for breaky). Mike's in town allowed sit down. Big hotels in Val Dor all allowed sit down. Smaller town lunch stops showed us the door. No rhyme or reason as I can figure. Amosphere was open for sitdown for 3 days(month ago) and they closed back up...to many people.

.. we have these ski wheel things that hook onto the ski loop with a wheel on either side of the ski, they work great !!

    They work in reverse also?

  5. I spend a lot of time in Qc. I have on occasion got the same treatment about reg #. This would be the cops signfan. Also had a couple asshats make me take off body panel to check exhaust. Recieved ticket to comply about left handed mirror, I had the wrist one.

I didn't realize the tv cables were the same. I think I have some of them lying around the house in their original packaging.

They work fine, keep a few as spares and to give away to others who are never prepared. The cheap ones do crack easily in the cold.

    YIKES!

I wonder if using teflon or nylatron sheet would be more durable? Is the Triton 'gasket' just rubber?

Probably, my buddy replaced his with something similar to nylatron and grade 8 bolts. I used what Triton has as a kit, looks like a rubber product to me. Triton distributor seems more confident in this fix.

Nunz keep an eye on yours, you travel a lot.

Is that frame rotted out?  2012 Triton?

After Solmo review I was thinking pay more for Triton.   Now maybe not so

Because the gasket separating steel from aluminium had disintegrated the aluminum started to rust out. The hole was due to the front bolts breaking off causing the axle to bend up and into trailer frame where the remaining bolt is located. I was aware of this potential issue and checked frequently. Funny thing is when you check it all out gasket appeared ok but what you see is just the leading edge. Everything between was completely gone.

I have no issue with Triton, love the trailer and this Tc167.

This unit likely has more km than most of you together. 2 trips to Wyoming, NB three times, Nova Scotia, Quebec at least 20 trips plus I'd guess over 100 Ontario trips short and long.

Still has original axle and bearings and wiring. Updated to led lights is all.

Also used it for work and loaned out for a few moves.

Worth the extra $ from my point of view.

I would change axle bolts and check on gasket condition every couple years.

What is the spacer made off? Is it the result of galvanic reaction?

Triton used some sort of thin fibourous material. My 2012 was completely gone. A buddies 2016 was starting to come apart. Triton now uses a rubber type of gasket to separate the two metals. My trailer got thinned out pretty bad, paper thin. I have the fix on order through triton, they bolt up another piece u shape aluminum over the affected area
