Fresh snow, twisty trails opening onto hydro lines. Does it get any better?

Thanks for the pics, STG.

Memorial Day weekend 2002

(End of May for the Canucks)

See the rest of the group at the bottom.

After climbing the hill a cpl times I quickly bored of that and was looking for something more challanging. I found some slush near where the rocks were sticking through. Turned out to be a tad bit too much challange. :icon_photo:

I don't understand "other way around" ???

Somehow the difference of Memorial and Victoria?

Lincoln, Montana

Sled was just sunk in is all. You can see the rocks showing through about 50' down the hill there. Just took too much wind out of my sails to make it up after that. The stock tracked sucked green weenies...

Another view:

I did find a shelf of granite sticking out of the snow at the bottom just before heading home tho. I was riding along the base looking for new lines or whatnot just putzing along real slow and then "boom" over the bars.

If you look, you can see that I was a Redskin that day! You kant even see the whites of my eyes! 3 days on the snowcovered hills that time'a yr will git'chew snowblindness if you don't watch out! I don't wear glasses, and was paying for it as I was red in the face and eyes for a week!

My mistake on the May long weekends. Guess I misread your original posts. Friend did similar thing you did when he was moving his sled from the back to the front of the cottage. Putting along ,the fire pit(tire rim)under the snow, stopped him dead in his tracks, over the bar he went(no helmet), knocked him out cold. Got a bad concussion out of it.

Montana looks like a great place to be any time of the year, from what I've heard, read and googled. Never been there myself. Quite the incline in that pic.

Yeah, shades (like the polarized ones myself if you can find them) or tinted shields are a must for daytime riding. Do not seem to realize the damage sun glare causes till it's too late. Same as when you're boating.

Thanks for sharing the great pics and glad to hear everything was good to go.

Red Green has a show at Casino Rama this fall.

Thurs. Oct 27th - 8 pm

http://center-tickets.com/ResultsTicket.aspx?evtid=1686038&event=Red+Green&ppcsrc=8995828865&nid=1&eid=QS&egid=B

Tickets appear to be in the $70 range. I bit steep - otherwise I'd have suggested this for an oc.com gathering.

Reds in Sarnia the following nite, $58.80 a seat. That is steep isn't it.

Honestly - I don't recall their names. But I know where they are. (were?)

Are they still there?

For the rest of you:

These folks had a cabin on the back side of Hawk Lake that was aff the grid. No hydro. No phone.

They ran a small restraunt there, right on the trail from Wawa to Hawk. Only ever stopped there once. Actually - we hardly ever went through Hawk all that often once we found the reseviour.

Was wondering if they were still there, and / or how long they ran their little diner. ???
