Candubrain Posted March 7 Posted March 7 The answer is probably in the forums somewhere but I can't find it. Wawa to Chapleau shows by the ITG to be about 258kms, is there fuel available between these two towns? Don't want to carry a gas caddy if I don't have to thanks brian Quote
skidooboy Posted March 7 Posted March 7 No gas between Chapleau, Wawa, Searchmont, Black Creek Outtfitters/Aubrey Falls. Long, vast areas with no towns, no help, no services. Just you, the wilderness, and 3 or 4 warm up shelters. Bring the largest fuel caddy you can carry. At the worst, it is something to start a fire to signal for help. No cell services either, some guys are carrying starlink set ups now. This is true wilderness riding, more remote in the middle than the Abitibi Canyon trail. Chapleau to where Halfway is/was (60 miles), with no fuel, services. Then to Wawa from there (75-80 trail miles). Plan on 140 to 150 miles, not kms of trail. Heavy/fresh snow, no grooming, warm up, or sled issues can eat into fuel reserves quickly. Ski 1 Quote

We got 3-4" snow in Dubreuilville today... It was supposed to rain. You should be fine. Ski https://www.theweathernetwork.com/en/city/ca/ontario/wawa/14-days 1 Quote
