Looks nice but I still go to west way first, since I know they suppprt club.  We need to suppprt buisness that support us. These big chains do squat for local clubs and trails besides take business away from ones that need it most to survive.
Any news on hornepayne one yet?

But when Westwind is booked, we will look here.

However, we were pleasantly surprised with the Econolodge last winter, Stayed twice.

Yup no problem, was just letting everyone know there is one more option now.

Shes come a long way since the ol chimo or John H at the North adventure Inn. I remember when you couldnt find a spot to park your sled out front there was so many riders. Well, I remember because I have photos otherwise I might not. Those days were filled with plenty of Blue sky and Wheat based anti freezes

A Chucks Roadhouse is also going in out front of the Comfort inn, hopefully they will stay open past 8pm LOL..

If you build it, they will come!

I guess the question is will there be enough business to keep it open longer and do they have staff to service them!

Over the last few years it seems lots of more rural places are seeing growth with new businesses coming in, as well lots of new Canadians located there as well - not sure if this is good or bad based on what it costs us as Canadian to have the new Canadians there (should be nothing but I am afraid that is not the case apparently), how much is the local business and residents negatively affected by it, etc....

Those were the good old days for sure.

I went to Cochrane my first time in 1995.      We always stayed at the NAI when John owned it and the porn channel was playing.

I did like the Chimo as it had a decent restaurant attached the little bar next door was rocking with old Cougars on a Sat night.

It's on trans Canada so defiantly traffic year round helps. You defiantly need local support to sustain any business with a population of 6000 or so it becomes hard to do.

I've never stayed in a motel near home.
