signfan Posted March 8, 2025 Posted March 8, 2025 Rolled over 25,000 km this week on my 2016 900 ace blizzard. Have done the following to it. Voltage regulator Throttle (most likely related to the above voltage regulator) Front shock in rear skid Bearings in the skid, carbides and sliders Oil changes That's it. I'm probably due for a belt, a replacement track, a clutch service, fuel filters and maybe some front end bushings just cause I'm paranoid. Not news to many, but I do believe these 900 ace sleds are Yamaha reliable. 11 Quote
Baylaker Posted March 8, 2025 Posted March 8, 2025 They have certainly proven themselves reliable, which is why I have begun my switch to skidoo. I saw an ad on marketplace today that claimed skidoo had the best 4 stroke engine on snow, I thought to myself, no way, Yamaha has that title. Then I thought, if Yamaha isn’t in the game anymore, then yes, skidoo can now claim that. Quote

Toyman Posted March 8, 2025 Posted March 8, 2025 If you commit to continuing to ride that sled for more years, then the additional maintenance of track, valves, shock and clutch rebuild will be worth it. I’d still be riding my Viper that had 33k+ kms but just love the extra power of the Winder. 3 Quote
