Hi All.  Myself and my wife are newbies when it comes to OFSC trails. We have rented a cottage east of Bracebridge close to Conway cres. on highway 118.

As I review the OFSC trail map it would appear trail D 103B is the closes trail to the location. As I am new to the trail system, can anybody inform how to access this trail?

Is there another trail that is more accessible keeping in mind we would like to sled to the trail, trying to stay away from trailering the machines.

Tks!

Hi. Welcome. I'm trying to avoid the "honey due list" before heading to Florida tomorrow, so had a look for you. No gas stations, restaurants or posted parking spots. I think one of the Forum members lives around Gravenhurst, may have some suggestions, but based on what I see you will need to trailer. Red X marks your spot I believe. Good luck.

Your not far from the trail. Drive up to the end of west buck lake rd and take a look north. Its swampy in summer but i would almost gaurantee the locals have it packed up to the d103B and B trail intersection which is a km or less from that point. I was past there the other night and im pretty sure there were tracks from the south possibly groomed too. Its very possible that its a right of way up to the trail too. Usually theres a staked trail on wood lake but it looks like mou issues to the south of 118 which is Snowcrest territory. Also call the caribou lodge on wood lake and ask for info on trail access or one of the neighbors Happy wanderers club will tell ya if they groomed down to west buck lake rd.

.  We found out the hard way the inconsiderate way some snowmobilers really are. Excessive speed on the trails, passing at a high rate of speed, we were going 50 klm. Approaching speeding snowmobilers giving little time to react as they fly past, we were a party of 3. Contacted district 7, CM no reply, great service. We paid $270 for a 20min ride as it became extremely dangerous.  I want a refund , was a terrible experience.
