Now that I see you have a Doo that these parts should fit on, here are the details on the items for what I mentioned above.....it works great.

I use an old phone in the holder and keep my day to day phone in my pocket.

Easy to install as well.

I wish they had that for the XP/XR chassis.

Looks interesting. That said, I just stop, pull my phone out, check the map, put it back in my pocket (for what they cost these days) and continue on. Gadget man is trying to cut down how many wires and gadgets I'm dealing with every time I dismount the sled. :-)

Wireless charging won't heat it enough.  Get the one with the heater and the ability to plug the phone in.  I've tried the wireless charging and its a fail.  Phone freezes and dies.

Even with the heated space and plug in I have to make sure my charging cable is good so I can get full charge.  There is an app for Android called Ampere That I used to verify my phone was taking more Juice than it was using.  It's an older phone and is used only for navigation. I had found that some of the cheap cables were not charging quick enough and I would eventually loose battery power.  But I would have to think that a wireless charger may not put out enough power.

One issue that I’ve had with the factory set up that I have using the glove box extension, that is a user issue, is if you get any moisture/snow in the charge port of the phone, apple phones detect it and stop the charging until it is gone.
one of the reasons I stopped using my day to day phone for the maps, so I don’t have to remove the phone as often from its protective placement in the glove box extension.

The charge cable runs through the glove box extension so it isn’t exposed to the harsh elements and usually heat from the engine keeps that area warm too, but in certain conditions, depending on wind, sometimes snow gets past the seal and enters the glove box extensions, not where the phone is kept, just where the extra storage is located.

I don’t think anything will be perfect that’s an add on considering where it’s being used, but I’m sure there are some good products out there that will work.

edit : I just remembered, the snow in the glove box extension is more a result of how close I follow sled in front and how much snow dust that is being generated that day!

so also self-inflicted…lol

I haven’t had a phone or map issue in years.

Polaris 7s is the way to go.

They are nice for sure, I remember riding with a guy years ago that had it.....the new Doo gauge has map on it too and of course there is the new CAT gauge for this year with Garmin map.

Issues that I thought came up last year was being able to access the trail map system on anything other than the approved platforms i.e. OFSC, FCMQ, BRP GO, etc.....

Does the Poo gauge get updated info each year with trail changes, can you plan your trip, save it and use it on a trip, etc....

It is super handy to route your trip, save the routes and have them on your phone.

Will 7s connect to your phone and show ofsc trails via app?

It uses Polaris ride command maps.  But these have been close enough for my travels in Northern Ontario and Quebec to get me where I or we need to go.

There may be some trails a little different but back out the map and you have a good idea where your headed.

And there is a aftermarket system made by
Polaris that people can buy to use the Polaris maps.

Yes you can plan trips and download routes to gauge.

also has group function that tracks the riders in your group on trail.  And Polaris 7s gauges can communicate to each other without cell signal.

group leader can send the route to group and they all have it on their maps.

it’s pretty cool.  Worked great in Quebec where we could see the route and riders.

If you ride a different brand you can down load the Polaris app on your phone and then you can also connect to a group and they can track you while you have cell service.
