I'm seeing mention of the railbed from Owen Sound to Dundalk in yellow. Most riders are aware, but for those who are not, be conscious of the base beneath the snow.

Careful to stay way back if you have other sleds with you. There's no base and the ballast stone is sharp and from 1" to 2" in size on average and some larger.

I've taken damage and seen plenty more over the years.

I had to take a buddy to the hospital to get stitched up. We couldnt even get his helmet off because the visor was embedded in his face. The amount of blood was enough to make a hard man panic. The bright side was they got him into trauma fast and it looked way worse than it was.

Shouldn't take too many "sNOPROs" to finish it off with no  base.

I wrecked a set of skis in a day riding that rail bed on my brand new 99 SRX.     Hard pass for this guy.

The good ol' days. Had a 99srx myself. Thing was on rails in the bush. All the ol' couch sleds were much more fun to ride in my opinion, but I dont miss the spine shots.

I was told today the rail line is in great shape. Markdale up to Owen sound has more snow.

I'm in Owen Sound and ya. We got more snow overnight and this morning than all last week. I seen sleds going down the shoulder of the highway trying to get the B110 (railbed).

The B trail out from town is still closed.

Shelburne would be closer for you. Drive right through town heading west on 89 and the first road to the right is the 4th concession. Turn right and go up to the trail crossing. You should be able to park on the side of the road. That is where the trail starts being open to the north.

Have you parked on side of road there before?

Anyplace to park in Dundalk

At 157297 HWY 10 is the Dufferin Drift Busters groomer shed and there is tons of room for parking trailers. But, according to this year's ITG, there is no trail crossing hwy 10 at the groomer shed.

I was in Walkerton last night.      Shocked with how much snow they have!!

Saw lots of sleds running around.

I was in Hanover the other day just before the new snow came and it looked like end of season snow banks, not beginning.

Nice to some trails open over that way.

Why is windy app only showing 15 cm's on ground in that area?

It will always be a problem when a small section of trail is open .

I just drove thru it.     The banks on the sides of the street are at least 4ft high.

Considering if you go 15 mins east of Stratford its grass, I consider what Walkerton has to be a ton of snow.

I didnt catch their names. lol

I drive by trail heads and crossings daily. They all look well used.

For example...the trail heading out of the east side boat launch in Owen Sound has yet to be open this season, but the lot has rigs parked in it.
