Do I make the pilgrimage in the a.m. and go for it? If not - looking like it will all be over by end of next week. don't want to go up - and play the overheating game every 10 minutes either. hmmmmm Decisions decisions Do you have ice scratchers Quote

Not sure about your area. Maybe send Nunz or Steve F6 a pm and see if they have any insight. 3 Quote

I just got up here now from the city but MJ is out riding now and i'll get an update soon on the trail situation. Still a sh!t tonne of snow up here but choose your road runs wisely. It was near a whiteout between Bracebidge and Port about an hour ago so... Maybe our resident D7 Polaris Celebrity Nunz will chime in soon enough with an update on snocrest area. 1 Quote
Steve F6 Posted March 8, 2025 Posted March 8, 2025 Trails are good. Little icy. No scratchers needed. 3 Quote
Blackstar Posted March 8, 2025 Posted March 8, 2025 Conestogo Lake, to Teviotdale to Clifford to Gorrie to Atwood. Sitting Listowel at the A&W having lunch. Mostly good, some great, nothing bad. Only one washout south of Brussels with an easy go around. only seen 4 sleds before noon. Seen plenty since but not your normal Saturday traffic. 7 Quote

Baylaker Posted March 8, 2025 Posted March 8, 2025 We did a small 90km loop with the kids today. Parked in Arthur, rode over to teviotdale, down to Moorefield, then Alma & back to truck. Conditions were great, sun was out, still lots of snow out there. Tomorrow might be the last day in the south, but certainly potential to leave open for a couple days into the start of the week. Kids were cooked at the end of the ride! 9 Quote

Johnny_5oh Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 My riding partner and I ran around the hillsburgh trails today. He was breaking in a rebuilt motor and I just wanted to get out there and ride. The trails were not that bad a little icy in sections but overall I was pleased. 2 Quote

Blackstar Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 Left from Alma today. Up to Palmerston and back. Just a short run with the wife to finish the season off. Base is still good mostly but the traffic and the warm sun are taking its toll on the bush trails. Took the Cat out to burn last year fuel out of it and forgot it’s not a fan of warm weather. Had to stop once and peel the panels to get her cooled off before crossing a bridge. Other than that she still runs great. Cleaning them up tomorrow and putting them away. I’m done. 12 Quote

Thankfully not much road running in this area, only short bridge sections . Thanks to milverton club for grooming trails so well last night. They were super smooth this morning. Listowel was well groomed too and so was Conestoga lake. We went as far north as trails were open today. 7 Quote
yamadan700 Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 Did a little 60km run with my wife this afternoon. Rode some of the Buckhorn and Twin Mountains(Bobcaygeon) trails. All were in 8/10 or better! Came across this nice Jeep on our trails quite a few kms in. Had a talk with him and his girlfriend and got him headed the right way! SMH Parking lot 1 was a full house. Many people getting their last ride in. Will do mine tmo.👍 9 Quote
Arctic JC Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 Nice 120km loop around Cochrane after driving up earlier today. Lots of snow and not too much traffic. Off to Hearst in the morning, forecast is looking good, excited for the ride! 11 Quote
Steve F6 Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 This guy made it from Beaver meadow rd to Estonia camp rd and then turned around, got stuck at the bottom of the rocky hill. Quite amazed it made it up the hill at clearwater and that it didnt leave ruts on the trail. Gave him a hand getting out on the way back. Had to back out the whole way to estonia camp rd. 3 2 1 Quote

yamadan700 Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 Did my last run for the year from north of Buckhorn to Cardiff and looped back around. 170km. The northern 3/4 part of the loop received a fresh 2" of snow last night.👍 Trails were still great and flat for most of it but some Canadian Shield was starting to poke through on the way back. The trail across Paudash Lake was flat as glass and I touched 190km/h(and climbing) and said that's enough!!! Don't blow something up now!..lol... Saw maybe 15 sleds out there. Sad that it is coming to such an abrupt end as there is such a great base and great snow coverage overall. Great year for most clubs in the province and everybody was able to ride local most of the time. That should generate renewed interest going forward. The OFSC and all the volunteers needed this.👍 7 Quote
