A week ago Friday I saw on Marketplace a 2023 Doo Turbo with 2900 km. on it advertised for $13,000.00 in Newmarket. I was tempted but not enough. It was showing sold when I checked early this week. Pretty decent deal and was surprised it stayed as long as it did.

130 hp?  When I went to delta power on Saturday they had maybe 10 used ones left. Sales guy said they sold some new ones last week. There is still lots of choice in show room yet. I never bothered to price anything. Just dropped mine for service. New facility really nice.
used sleds are sitting because most people would have to get rid of something to buy it. Christmas riding looking bleak again. Be middle of Jan I think before any real riding begins

There was a story with that sled.     I asked the guy if it had any previous damage and if he would send me the vin.    Kept giving me bullsh-t excuses why he wouldnt/couldnt send me the vin.

A scammer listing / selling a  fake snowmobile they copied from an add just far enough below market price for guys to get excited and think they have a steal of a deal?

Just saw ads from Fast Track in Dorchester, $5400 off 24 zr800, 5600 of Riot 8000.

Dealers are getting worried for sure

Cat is subsidizing them. They've been doing that for years.  I bought a '17 zr6000 from them in '18 for $4k off msrp. Dealers don't make that kind of profit on new.

Yeah, and without those subsidies, units aren’t moving, dealers will go bye bye.

industry needs a correction and we are on our way

Really what's conditions? I seen a slightly used vr1 loaded  2024 going  for 15500 in Ottawa area. It's 485 km drive to go get it right now. It's at Polaris dealer in that area. Was 16500 before. All our snow melted. Dealer had over 40 machines dropped off at end of last week. So I don't think I am getting mine back anytime soon.

Well find me a used one thats decently priced. They all aren't.

However with the fact that I firmly believe that Huntsville will not have any trails this year or possibly ever again so sledding for me may be done. Not really in a hurry to buy another sled

Just go rogue - you don't have to support a system that won't support its member clubs.

What's the worst that can happen - they make you buy a pass?

whoopie

That used to be the deal, but a few yrs ago they added a fine on top of that I believe.

I don't recall how much, but it's note-able I think.

Does this fall under the GST exemptions for the next 2 months if you buy it for a child?

Asking for a friend...lol

There’s no money in it - period.

Leas and less customers every year, no growth.

Canada brought in 471,771 immigrants in 2023.

i would bet a pay cheque there is not one single one in that number that bought a snowmobile.

Does not make a ton of sense to send one letter a few weeks ago and another one now, with even worse news than the first one.

Basically unless there is a buyer of the manufacture or there is a drastic change in interest within the industry, the writing on the wall is they are done......no more Yami or Cat.

And then there was three.....really two.

Between the snow thread and this one, things are looking pretty dismal just before Christmas and this industry.....not to sound too much like the "optimistically strong farmer"....lol

The sport we love will continue to change as quickly as the climate does. Snowmobile manufacturing is not a business I would be wanting to get into these days.

I cant imagine that Polaris is in good shape as well.

None of them are in good shape - strictly snowmobiling wise

Textron was never a good fit for arctic cat imo.

Do you know why they bought Cat?

Was Cat looking to be bought, in need of financial support at the time or Textron wanted something at the time that Cat had?

I do not recall the details surrounding the purchase.

Just do not hear about them, that I know of....keeping a tight lip.

No, but that is why there has been a push for dealers to be able to offer all of what the manufacture had to offer, not just one segment - which makes sense to fill in the gaps as the market changes to try and stay healthy, just need a lot more capital.
