For relevance how tall is the snow gauge?

About 30". I'd say total we're over 3 feet now since yesterday. Roofs are gonna need shoveling. Never done that in december.

**FORECAST UPDATE**

Please put down the pitchforks or snow shovels in this case. We are just the messengers!

Here's a look at the updated forecast of snow still to come by the end of Boxing Day. This is for additional snowfall on top of what has already been received from Christmas morning and yesterday.

Zoomable map: https://scontent-yyz1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/322079971_472000565114759_2612674264541797596_n.jpg?_nc_cat=106&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=730e14&_nc_ohc=pIQ11OmnjeUAX8rwfR7&_nc_ht=scontent-yyz1-1.xx&oh=00_AfAAmpoHDDJjOhg5pHr1TvYhXnIU3xYmRlKcSi2JubtO2Q&oe=63ACF24A

The snow squalls currently affecting the Orillia and Midland area are expected to drift back northwards overnight and into Monday morning. This will bring more snow to the Muskoka region which has already seen more than 100cm of snow. Current data suggest that a small pocket between Bracebridge and Orillia has the potential to see an additional 30-50cm of snow by the end of tomorrow.

Zoomed in map of Central Ontario: https://scontent-yyz1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/321835437_1629598144142358_6587016667121014758_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_p526x296&_nc_cat=100&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=dbeb18&_nc_ohc=PYcmPZ9R3HYAX-eKsir&_nc_ht=scontent-yyz1-1.xx&oh=00_AfBIxnymI88c3FamEOxemSleWmvJ_uTpV88ryz8omD3uVw&oe=63AE39B8

We may also see the Lake Erie and Lake Ontario squall drift back north of the border early Monday morning. As a result, the Fort Erie and Prince Edward County regions could see an additional 10-25cm over the next 36 hours. Although it's questionable exactly how far north these squalls will make it.

For the rest of Southern Ontario, we are looking at barely anything through to Monday. Maybe a few passing flurries from the lake effect snow. More lake effect snow is possible on Tuesday which we will be monitoring and posting an updated forecast by tomorrow if needed.

Stay safe and have a great Christmas night!

- Brennen

Been snowing like a MOFO since Friday afternoon.    I still can barely see the house across the street from me.    I had a 4ft drift at the end of my driveway to dig through this am.   All highways are still closed in Perth County and arent expected to open up until Sunday am.    Both my daughters are RNs at Stratford General and they both did a 24hr shift yesterday and are going in for another 12hrs tonight at 7pm.    They cant get out of town to come home so they got a room at a local hotel so they could have a shower and get some sleep before heading back in tonight.

On a FB group, someone in Milverton was looking for scrub/ uniforms s in certain sizes, so some of the staff in the same clothes since Fri morning, could have a clean change of clothes at Knollcrest.  These staff have worked non stop essentially, sleeping when they can since Fri morning.

My girls went to work Friday night at 7pm and finally got home this am.    1x24hr shift and 2x12hr shifts.    Stayed 2 "days" at hotels to get some sleep and shower.

We did well in Sault Ste. Marie.  The local radio station has us at 97cms for 3 days and the local news station has us at 107cms.

Just booked at the forest for the 26th, not expecting  great conditions but will be nice to ride anyways

Please let us know how it was. I'm heading up on Wednesday for my first time there.

I'm looking forward to getting out and playing in the forest even if conditions are not optimum.

Just came up to spend the week in huntsville at our cabin. Most snow at one time in my history here(2003) glad I brought my kubota blower up...still took forever as there was is a solid 4 ft...twice as high as the blower auger. Got the generator going as cabin was a nice 2 deg inside. We were lucky as all our roads were plowed for the first time an hour before our arrival...felt like a lottery win..

Then even better power comes back on...woo hoo..

We got enough snow in Stoney Keppel land that we had to help out our local ski club. Their new groomer can handle deep snow, so we got to do laps of their trails all morning. Some of our guys brought their vintage machines, this one was so fun!

We also got some groomer time in, hoping the forecast is inaccurate for later in the week.

 Nice!

Hows the boy liking the sled?

And your prayer was answered to get some snow over the holidays when hockey was on hold to get some smiles in!

Hmmmmmm, don't see any OPEN trails in your area! Must have been all lake running haha.

Wasn't that in Haliburton Forest? Always the good spot south of 17 to get an early start or late exit to the season.
