Casino Rama

Hey All

Does the trail go to Casino Rama? Also wondering if there is room for truck and trailer parking? Has anyone done this in the last couple years? Looking for your thoughts.

Thanks in advance

I've been on this section of trail many times coming to and from Lake Couchiching,  and cannot remember anything other then road running, ditch banging to get to the Casino. Imo, it's a no. Family has a spot on lake simcoe not far off of the B112B rail line in Orillia We sometimes ride from.

That section on  B trail and trail 207 is a old railway line/walking trail type, you can see that the white line on the trail map continues into the Casino, buy if I recall, when at the spot, it's a dead end kind of deal ending at Mara Rama road.

The trail essentially is this dotted line shown here on Google maps.

Sleds ride the orange-dotted ungroomed railbed, which extends north from B Trail, and dead ends at the edge of the Casino.

I don't know who owns the dotted portion, nor what sledders do once they reach the dead end.

Thank you, gentlemen. All is good.

I've actually been on the forum fairly regularly, reading and clicking "like" etc.

Lots of good content and good people, as usual. Fingers crossed for a good winter.

Cheers.

Park and ride is dead. Haven’t advertised it in years. Other places to park that are more sled friendly.
Welcome back Blake can’t wait to see where your first ride is. 😎

The Beast still advertises Park & Ride on their website and there is lots of truck/trailer parking spots shown on the ITG.

Looks as though it may be public property.

I ment park and ride at casino Rama. Not other locations. I don’t see it advertised anymore and use to be electric signs on 400 saying if it was open or closed years ago.

Probably 15 to 20 years ago we rode to the casino parking lot by the old railbed. Parking lots have changed greatly over the years and back then it seem to be a long walk to the doors. I can't remember where the coat check is located as you don't to walk around with your gear on.

As for parking truck and trailer it might be possible as I think RV's can park over night as long as you are gambling.

We have parked at the Quality Inn on the highway off ramp in Orillia for the day and got a meal in the restaurant for the use of the parking spots. This was about 5 to 10 years ago.
