Many areas in QC still have a curfew and lock-down, especially close to Montreal. I'm in Ottawa and looked at doing Val-D-Or this weekend, so I put my frenchman on it. He came back with not a good idea, with the curfew they may not be "receptive" to ON vehicle plates. I had to pickup our daughter from Basic Training at Saint-Jean (just south of Montreal) and no gas station washroom was open for use in town. Just saying, ON plates are great revenue. Suggest you call the planned hotel for information as a minimum.
scottyr
I think I would avoid that area as well. Everything is take out only and that gets old fast and they arent messing around with that curfew still. I know that even around Rouyn area, they will not allow non-residents to eat in at restaurants. Probably a better idea to stay in ontario for the rest of the season. signfan
Watch the weather network radar for the next 12 hrs and make a call based on what you see. I think the amount of rain they get will be the deciding factor. For covid you have to follow Quebec red zone rules regardless of which region you are in. 8 pm curfew. No indoor dining. No pools or hot tubs at resorts, etc. We decided on Northern Ontario due to the curfew. It was going to add 2 days to a 3 day trip as you can't travel at night.
