I got fxr transfer gloves, pretty much the same as yours. I learned last season the thinner the glove the warmer my hands were. I’ve been wearing the big bulky gloves for 20 years, never again, the heated grips from the bars works way better on a thinner glove. -30 last season in Quebec and hand were perfect. I only have one season on them but so far so good.

I tossed around the idea for a few years to get a pair of the DOO muffs & used thinner gloves vs. bulky ones, ended up buying a pair of the Kimpex muffs that are almost the same as the DOO's last year plus a pair of cheaper thin work gloves from MWW - worked great last & hands were never cold, but the cheap gloves did not last, so since the set up works great, bought a better pair of gloves this year. You are correct, works way better and I usually need to turn off my heat and the muffs are like little over that hold the heat inside of them! If it was the 80's/90's, those would also be great for the trail side smoke

When I got the Buzzard & the smaller BRP muffs, I started using Mechanix gloves (normally used on late season rides) w/ them. I found my hands were fine. I have a pair of their cold weather gloves that I used on the 2 Great Big Loop trips. -29* when we left Chapleau the 1 trip. No need to use the Reimas that I had packed.
pt3189
I made the move to the ski doo muffs and thin gloves 2 years ago , been great . I take a ribbing for the muffs but when you wake up in Cochrane and it’s -20 everybody wants them. Usually carry one pair thick gloves in case grips quit working.

I find the DOO muffs, or in my case the Kimpex ones way better than your traditional ones......not awkward in the way, no issues if you decide to stand or sit or putting your hand back in them Edited January 22, 2021 by stoney

On E107 north of the village: There's a log haul in progress about half a mile north of the pond.

Especially the 2nd one Thanks, I've been up & down that trail for I don't know how many years LOL It was the 1st time I stopped there for pics. On a side note, this winter marks the 50th anniversary of Mother's ill-fated weekend with an Elan. She had it for 1 weekend & my Dad had to take it back (exchanged it for a '71 Oly' 300). She just wanted to sit on the seat & ride along. As anyone knows that riding style doesn't work w/ an Elan.

Just like the kid on Rowan and Martin’s Laugh In on the trike. Fell over sideways in slow motion. Couldn’t get up from laughing too hard. So was everybody else watching us!!!
