Strong Farmer
Anyone know anything? I heard government gave ofsc some funding to develop a new app for this up coming season. I hope it works out and we can down load it this fall. I wonder what new features it will have?
PISTON LAKE CRUISER
"To improve the snowmobiling experience, Andrea Khanjin, MPP for Barrie—Innisfil, today announced that the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) will receive up to $18,800 for enhancements to the Go Snowmobiling Ontario app. Improvements to the app, which will be available for the coming season, include enhanced trail features, social media integration, check-in functionality, and a ratings tool. “Our government is helping move Ontario into the 21st century, by increasing access to services online, improving broadband internet connections, and strategic investments like today’s,” said Andrea Khanjin, MPP for Barrie—Innisfil. “Through the enhancement to the OFSC’s app, thousands of Ontario’s snowmobilers will be able to better enjoy their sport and the great outdoors of Ontario. This investment will pay dividends for snowmobile users, and the small businesses that rely on snowmobilers as customers throughout the winter.” MPP Khanjin announced the grant on behalf of the Hon. Ernie Hardeman, Ontario’s Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. OFSC successfully applied for cost-shared funding under the Rural Economic Development Program, which is designed to create strong rural communities in Ontario." Maybe now they will get town names to show up all the time on the map instead of only at some magnifications. That's the one thing that bugs me most about the map although I still do prefer the Quebec system. The feds likely paid for its developement. signfan
Would be nice if groomer delay was shown like Quebec and New Brunswick. Edited August 2, 2020 by signfan
manotickmike
Lord, love a duck... This was all over FacePlant... 3.3 billion generator industry gets 18k. For an app. Spend it on law enforcement, or anything to keep the lawyers, politicians and insurance companies out of our pastime.
