Baylaker Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 Their 5 years is up, they promised 5 new products in 5 years, they delivered, but what’s next?

manotickmike Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Happily, my (Japanese) Yamahas are holding up just fine. Theoretically, the cat buy out will lead to real Yamahas returning. I haven't lost hope.
manotickmike Posted February 19, 2020 Posted February 19, 2020 Bought by a defense contractor. Textron. I can't see them continuing using Yamaha motors. They also bought out a motor manufacturer, the name escapes me. Several of my "die hard" Cat friends are moving on. Reluctantly.

The only motor manufacturer that comes to mind is Kymco...not sure if that’s the one your referring to or not.

Of course looking forward to the 9th.
Baylaker Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 Forsure, there’s no smoother engines out there. In my buddies bearcat, it’s a kymco engine. I’m not even sure if that’s how you spell it lol. We’re going to continue to ride our vipers for the next few years anyways, even if there is something new.

manotickmike Posted March 3, 2020 Posted March 3, 2020 Mine start fine. 50k between my Apex and Nytro. Taking good care of them, hoping for real Yamahas to return. Could happen.
