D102C Closed??

Mrs P and I love the trails between PAB and Sundridge but wondering why D102C is closed.  This lies on a natural north side route for this loop.

Nothing on the club's FB site about it.

I really hope its something technical and not another lost trail this year.

Thoughts?

P.

Possible low snow conditions? AR500 & TOP C both to the west are red. Years ago the NEGB S/C struggled to keep TOP C open by pushing snow great distances so the trail was properly snow-covered.

i am sure it is low snow conditions. unusually low snow in the area this year.

AR500 still closed.

AR505 yellow.

even the bottom half of the D102C is yellow.

highly doubt it is a lost trail just based on location, etc.

but you never know i guess.

i can get you an answer but wont be able to report back til Tuesday.

heading up to the area this weekend will check in with the locals.

its yellow now.

started down it from the AR505.

gave up after a couple kms.

pretty rough but that's to be expected on the Monday of the long weekend.

crazy how little snow there is in the area, especially compared to last year.

This is my playground when I'm at the cottage. It takes a lot of snow to cover all the rock that is in this area. Big reason why the seasons tend to be short there. I"ve been running off trail in this area for weeks now. Very scenic area.
