I know there are other spots, but specifically, is day parking truck and trailer, still allowed at the Parry Sound travel center? This is the PetroCan / Tim Horton's /Licks/ Burrito place south of town on highway 400 at the end of the Seguin Trail.

Thanks in advance!

New Parking Lot at Black Road/Hwy 400------------just south of travel centre----------

In December 2019, a new municipal parking lot was created on Black Road for short term year round overnight parking. Seguin Township purchased this property from the Ministry of Transportation in the Spring of 2019. The intent of this purchase was to create a parking lot to alleviate parking issues at the Tim Hortons/Petro Canada parking lot for snowmobilers and users of the Seguin Trail. Park to Park manages the Seguin Trail which is an important recreational and tourist hub that spans from the Kill Bear Provincial Park to Algonquin Provincial Park. Discussions are on-going with Park to Park for their long term plans to use this property as a trail-head. Since this property is situated close to the Seguin Trail and a snowmobile trail, this is a great opportunity to service the public and provide short term year round overnight parking to encourage tourism to our area and allow more people to enjoy our beautiful local trails.

Parking is also available on Cargill Drive off of Oastler Park Drive for users of the Park to Park Trail and the Seguin Trail. Please see the map for details.

Read that as well......So this is somewhere around where the red oblong is on  map? Access by Horseshoe Lake Road?

Still would like info about the parking at the travel center though.....nice to end the day or the ride with a bit of food and haven't tried the burrito place yet. Hope to get there and compare food notes with Blake G.

The parking P indicator to the left on the map above is at the former Jolly Roger (not sure what they are callling themselves these days) ....is this outdated or are they allowing parking for non-staying guests? It is good of them to provide groomer service area and garage.....is it possible to could park there for a day and buy some food if the restaurant is open?

Perhaps they are pretty friendly. The township of seguin provides two maintained recreational parking areas. 1 at Black road and c trail as shown in your red circle and 1 at cargill drive and oastler park drive once again at c trail alt

  • 3 years later...

Parked there last year, no problem. It was middle of week, not too busy. Lots of cops though, have your paper-work in order and watch speed down the trail
