revrnd
This year we're staging in Cochrane (hitting the snow on the 29th) & doing the loop in the opposite direction. I'm peeling off @ Timmins for Cochrane while the rest of the gang ride for 2 more days of riding thru KL, Gowganda & Timmins. Not sure of my route back to Cochrane. It's been a few years since I've ridden TOP C up to SRF, so I may post something on OC or Faceplant a day or 2 before to see if anyone is running that way & 'tag' along w/ them. Seeing as how the guys enjoyed my travelogue last season, I post a few pics daily & report our journey. I just hope that the 'speed demons' will have left some snow on TOP A & I don't have to invest in a pair of Rouskis... P.S.: Just remembered that this winter is the 20th anniversary of my 1st trip up north. A week of riding starting in Capreol. Capreol - Elliot Lake Elliot Lake - Chapleau Chapleau - Hornepayne Hornepayne - Kap' Kap' - Iroquois Falls Iroquois Falls - New Liskeard New Liskeard - Capreol I think it was around 1300 miles on a '98 MXZ 500.

Looks good Revrnd. We will be up there the same week that you are. If I'm figuring your route and days properly, it looks like we will both be in Timmins on the 5th of March. We are staying at the Super 8 and then heading back to Liskeard via the L143 on Friday.

Yiur trip is longer as you have to use Dub 1 (D108A) now, not changed on the map as the trail is not on that side It's 13kms more then the other way. lol

revrnd
Sunny day to ride from Cochrane to Kap for 237 klicks. Lots of fresh snow. TOP A groomed except from Moonbeam east to the river. Met Turbo Doo & 14snow between SRF & TOP C. I took the lead across the Beardmore Loop & blasted along there. A few tracks in the fresh snow. Came back to Moonbeam & took the L123 & 143 into Kap.

revrnd
No I wasn't interested in switching sleds. NW corner of the Beardmore Loop Eastbound on TOP A @ L125 Sledjunk & Inferno buster coming off L125 This intersection, TOP A & L123 near Moonbeam will from now on be refered to as Azzhat Corners. While we were stopped on the south leg, 2 westbound groups 'attempted' to negotiate the right hand turn. Half the riders of both groups blew the intersection. One almost into the rhubarb just out of the left side of the pic. Guts trying to turn or back up in tjhe middle of the trail & more riders coming in hot. Arrived in Kap', staying @ the Advantage.

revrnd
LOL Will have to stop at grocery store upon arrival. The beverage store had closed in Hearst @ 4. We had a leisurely 266 klick ride today. Took the L143 & L123 out of Kap'. The rest of the gang got gas in Opaz. A 'fun' detour along Hwy 11 west of Reesor due to logging. Rode up L153 & crossed the river. Nice to see a stake line to guide you. Across L161, L159 & L171 to the marina for lunch. Busy w/ sledders. After that we ran the Fushimi Loop before hitting TOP A.
