There’s a broken groomer on the B trail hydro line about half way down from Whitney

It's been there since Thursday night's run. We came up on it on Friday at noon, 24 km's from Whitney. Tough spot to recover it from, never mind try to repair on the spot. That B trail is gonna be rough!!

Which groomer broke? Flat tire or some other issue? Hopefully they can re cover it some how!

Any relation to the groomer being down and 179 turning red?

The PB, trail of drive or hydraulic fluid behind it.

No, 179 is a ways away from the B through the park.

MLSS 179 is reopened per their Faceplant page. Live hydro wires down on the trail was the issue.

See the snirt showing in the firth pic?

Up north they don't have that problem.

However - if you DOO see sumpthing that looks like that - It's likely snow lice.

And there can be HUUGE (in my best Trump voice) areas spread all down the trail of them.

Snow lice, or snow fleas?. Coming out of Quebec a few years back, crossing into Kirkland lake from Rouyn Noranda,  we were stopped coming off larder lake, and the snow along the trail looked like someone had shook pepper all over it.. Snow lice/Snow fleas it was..

I've always heard "lice", but I'm not an insectomologyst.

???

There was one time that we were stopped - wrenching on sumpthing, and I have a "trunk" built on my old sled, and I had the lid set aside on the ground.

A few minutes later when we turned around - there were thousands of them up in that lid.

Just amazing!

Just dumped them out. LOL!

Usually see them late season.

Any news on this groomer and Top B?  Was headed that way Thursday.  Would love to know if it will be a mogul field to stay away from or not.

Yes, the Groomer has been removed from the Top B as of Sunday when we rode down from Whitney.
