bbakernbay
Recent post from NBSC "Unfortunately we have bad news. The A102Q will not be open this season, as we had planned. We were just advised that the Sno - Voyageurs club in Temiskaming is unable to groom their section of trail due to a 1 lane bridge in town that they stated they are unable to cross with the groomer. It’s unfortunate for all involved, clubs, businesses & permit holders. If anything changes we will be sure to advise but you’ll need to plan any trips accordingly." We launched from Temiscaming last Thursday and came home Sunday. Looks like they are redoing the bridge. There is construction lights that are a bit of a wait. Just enough room for the truck and trailer to cross it also..
signfan
Why can't Ontario clubs groom a trail that's located in Ontario?

River crossing issue at Big Jocko River I believe, but if people are going to ride the trail anyway, maybe NBSC could groom to the river crossing. I think its a ton of work for the NB club to do their own section, yet alone do temiscamings section. Taking away resources from the main staple of NB trails. It sucks, but i totally agree with the temiscaming club about crossing the bridge with the groomer and drag, in the shape the bridge is in when i looked last Saturday. Theres literally not enough room.. it was tight for my truck and trailer..

bbakernbay
Here is a post from NBSC Facebook from a person that is familiar with bridge reconstruction and the fact that the Temiscaming Club groomer and drag is unable to cross Ottawa River. Confirms what Turbo Doo previously posted that it was a tight fit even for double wide sled trailer. “The bridge is under construction, so this winter will suck for the snowmobile crew, however, the groomer cannot actually fit onto the bridge due to groomer being too wide. The groomer is wider than a snowplow/transports, and cannot make the pass on a single car lane. But this has not stopped people from Ontario to trailer their way into Quebec.”

Id just start out in Temiscaming.
