Left from port Sydney and went north and rode the 80 series trails and they were top drawer for sure .then back down 37 and headed Bracebridge on D trail and about 2 ks south of 37/D jct there was yellow opp tape across trails .this is were the big hills are coming up  D from Bracebridge

I live by the trail crossing at Graves road and Manitoba where the EMS staged, so travel D north from there and those hills can be tricky especially if you are travelling two fast and get air. If you notice at the side of the downslopes there are lots of broken pieces of sleds and crash sites so many a people have crashed on these steep hills by trying to get air or are surprized how steep they are. Last year the groomer couldn't make it up the hills as they iced up. Hope the person is ok

We have always call the big hills the Seven Ups ,and yes they can be tricky if going to fast as they create blind spots

Does anyone know if the police have let the trail reopen? We're likely headed that way in the a.m.

It was just too nice a day to stay off the trails  even though I broke my own rule not to "ride by myself "and "on the weekends as it is to busy for me". Rode up 37, down D to Port Sydney, back down D to 36 and went to the end of 36 for the first time. Ran into the OPP at D and 37 and asked about the accident yesterday on D, the fellow got to much "air" on one of the 7 UP's (Love that name) and did a number on himself. Good to see them out writing tickets for going off the trail at D and 37 while I was there, "What's wrong with riding in the powder" , as he explained his excuse.

Rode 270km from Uxbridge to Haliburton and back, going up to Hali, the trails were probably the best I have ever rode in S Ont, they were Cochrane like to say the least, helps when you get a foot of snow then -17 at night. Great job by all the clubs keeping them in great condition!!

Saturday I rode from Ponty Pool to Havelock and back through Campbellford and returned back to the Hwy115/35 parking lot. 350km round trip with a few wrong turns as I forgot my GPS and had no maps. I hoped to pickup a local map on the way but no one had one. Overall an excellent trip and trails were great. Sorry no pictures on this trip as I also forgot my camera as well (my phone sucks for pictures). There were many sleds out riding and overall the many fields I rode through the riders stuck to the marked trail. I will need to redo the trip again so I can take some pictures. I also finally rode through Campbellford (east to west) and I am glad I have my ski wheels as some trail and bridge crossings were lacking in snow. Rice lake was not staked but there were lots of track and few ice huts. Ganny trails were excellent in the morning buy beat in the late afternoon.

Left Mitchell at 8 am. Rode up to Mount Forest and over to Durham. Made our way back around to Hanover. Plan was to ride back down through, Teeswater, Walkerton, Seaforth on so on, back to the truck. Upon leaving Hanover Buddies doo starts acting up. Sounded like running on 1 cylinder. So we decide to limp into Clifford. Well before we could get there sled starts losing all power and then bang just like that it’s on fire and has flames coming from right side footwell. Doesn’t take long for a sled to become fully engulfed! Still trying to figure out why all of a sudden it lit up?92705BF5-0621-4DAC-96C1-3A2AD34B1D47.thumb.jpeg.7425534a715d633ba27878d59ac94ac1.jpegi
