Kirkland Lake Area

We are thinking of driving and unloading in Kirkland Lake and riding to Cochrane next week.

How are the conditions there or should we drive further to Cochrane.

The club did say they ran out of $ for grooming

Swap in a set of cross country race shocks and springs all around.... you'll not regret it. Rode local trails tonight, even over here the A trail is getting rough....

so there not grooming Kirkland Lake then

On their facebook they seem to be running at least one of their groomers. Not sure if they are able to cope with the traffic but I am sure they are doing the best they can.

grooming every night doesn't mean they can get to every trail every day.  groomers don't go that fast to cover their entire territory.  And if traffic is bad, even fresh groomed trails can be beat by the end of the day.

Especially with warmer temps now.

We arrived in Timmins on Sunday afternoon. Monday we rode the local trails and all but one (A111C) trail we rode had been groomed the night before. Tuesday we rode A111C and A to Iroquois Falls and everything had been groomed the night before. Wednesday we rode the A trail to C101D toward Foleyet and they had been groomed the night before. Timmins has done a fabulous job grooming even with above freezing temperatures during the day. Thank you Timmins Snowmobile Club!
