02Sled
I drove to Port Severn this morning. Northbound 400 just south of 93 it was snowing heavily. The 400 was snow covered and it was a single lane of traffic. In Port Severn there was about 1 ft. of snow on the ground. As I drove over the bridge at Matchedash Bay (Waubaushene) you could see it had skimmed over with ice. In Port Severn in front of us had mainly skimmed over but there were lots of open water patches in the middle. There is lots of current through there so it is one of the last to freeze up. It is beginning.

catinental couch
Another white knuckle ride from Orillia to Carling. The Crown Victoria doesn't like playing 4x4. Visibility was near zero through several squalls. 18 inches of snow on the town street in front of my wife's work. Plowing snow up on the hood. Techdenis007
Ride around town. Not much for new snow, but it's freezing up pretty good.... Notice the lack of tracks on the ice in the middle of the next pic .... was no ice when the idgits were crossing... same every year... Some trails are shaping up nicely ... Techdenis007
Funny how much snow gets up under the windshield in the powder like that .... mine does the same. Hopefully no more once I put the Pilot 6.9's on it....

I'm not sure you can avoid that kind of powder with 6.9 skies. Sure thing. Made a huge difference on the 99 bologna slicer. All but stopped throwing snow dust up from the skis. The thing would get up on top of the snow and stay there. Literally no snow sits on top of the skis. When you turn the bars it turns. The original Flex skis (and my 5.7s as well) would sink to the bottom unless you were going 50+ km/h.

I'm hoping that the 6.9's helps stay afloat on the sidewinder as well, unless the machine is too much a tank and still sinks to the bottom....i managed to get them installed last night after work. I was not too much a fan of the stock pilots. I am hoping that it is not going to take forever to get the suspension dialed in with the change?! Can't beat gravity, but good skis with a concave leading edge help get you on top. They steer beautifully in powder too.

02Sled
Toronto has about half of that.... enough for me to shovel the driveway. All 6 inches of light and fluffy. The city bobcat ran down the sidewalk at 7:00 this morning chewing up the edge of my lawn as usual.
