Great job by the Trail Patrol !  I hope the low life thief or thieves get nailed to the wall. It would be good to "out" them as well !

They should have used the thieves as fill for some on the water holes on the trail! It's great that they were caught though.

Society has gotten too soft. You used to get hung for being a horse thief.

Kind of surprised the crook actually stopped for trail patrol and hung around while they checked all his details but bottom line... well done.

Nobody ever said that crooks have brains. Maybe trail patrol got the keys out.

which page ??

Found it SSSC

An update to this at the bottom.

What a weekend we are having in South Seguin! Our trail patrollers were out today patrolling the trails. As they were looking over a water hole on the C north trail and a sled approached. The team initiated a stop and found that it had no valid permit and further enquiry found that the driver didn't have any identification on them nor any documentation for the sled in question. A vin # enquiry was made into the cpic system which then showed the sled in question was in fact stolen! The opp was contacted with an immediate response to the scene. Further investigation found another stolen sled at a different location to be related in this matter. This goes to show how well trained trail patrollers are in dealing with these situations and spotting things that don't appear right which led to the arrest of the individual or individuals and ultimately returned of stolen property back to the rightful owners as well great partnerships with local law enforcement.

As further note, all trails in South Seguin are groomed and getting groomed tonight with the exception of the C north trail. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend and ride safe!

Further update-
A total of 4 stolen sleds and 2 sled trailers were recovered as well as the arrest of one more individual. All this from one single stop of a sled on the trail by our trail patrollers.

The story refers to an inquiry by the TP of the VIN in CPIC. What is CPIC and how would a TP have access on trail?

Great work by the trail patrol.  CPIC = Canadian Police Information Centre.  Just a guess, but they probably called the police communications center to find out.  Nice to see the trail patrol was out and about.
