If an OFSC trail is decommissioned it cannot be closed I think you misunderstood - the (way) trail to Pike's Peak is about 6/8ths of the way up trail 805. Trail 805 itself is red on the interactive map. I am guessing water crossings (Grey Owl Lake or the stream between Grey Owl and Lorimer Lake) are not safe or there are wash outs in the woods. Thanks to all the clubs and volunteers for making it a great day! Unfortunately the ride was by myself. SuperG got off to a bit of a rocky start, but hey crap happens.
