Went out to check the portion of 747 that parallels the Jack's Lake Road thru the Huckleberry Marsh today for the club.

I think it'll definitely need more snow before that is passable. No water to deal with just a "bushy" surface.

Rode into the woodlot this afternoon. Limited to say the least. I doubt the trails around here would stand up to much traffic especially if there were any throttle jockets.

Very little drizzle/freezing rain. The overnight temperature never got above freezing. We ended up w/ 3 more inches of snow.

An headsup for riders that may have staged @ the Swiss Bear in past seasons. There isn't as much space on the north side of the yard this winter, so I wouldn't plan on parking there. It'll be cramped even w/ sleds.

Stoney Lake has groomed the trail over the hill to the Apsley arena. Lots of parking there. Some folks have been road running along McFaddens Rd. E107 is yellow from Nephton to Apsley.

Lots of sleds on trailers & trucks heading north this afternoon.

Rail trail out of Coe Hill up to the Maze in good shape, looks like a fair bit of logging in the maze this year.

Egan creek Rd plowed and well run from truck traffic by the look of it. Hard packed with sand, not horrible.

Bessemer line the same for road portion, signs up warning of truck traffic.

Going to run from Coe Hill towards Paudash clubhouse tomorrow shows as yellow.

Not open but E from the 618 all the way up and past the club house is in mostly great shape.

Any word whether Stoney or Paudash clubs are doing any grooming. Or are we SOL for the weekend?

OFSC has been updated, there are some Paudash trails open as of tonight.

We're up to about 14" on the stick. Should be some decent riding before the next warm up.

Rode up to the "start" of the TOP E reroute north of the clubhouse this afternoon. Conditions were OK. Saw five other sleds.

Stopped at the TOP E/E107 junction. Talking to a couple of riders that were heading north. They had ridden over from Coe Hill. The Old Hastings section of TOP E had been groomed.

Stopped @ the bottom of the stupid "triangle" near the clubhouse. How many stop signs can you cover w/ a rug?

TOP E on the forest access road. Rode as far north as the Lookout Trail. No activity north of here. TOP E is still routed west via Tory Hill.

Snow levels look aright, before the traffic hits it anyway. Thanks Revrnd

Yeah, very loose conditions. If it doesn't rain on Sat' I imagine it'll be a mess.

930 between Top E Coe Hill and OHSR clubhouse - heritage trail is open to make a decent loop.

That 930 has sure been improved over the years by OHSR.

Lots of elevation and rugged terrain 1 of our favs for night riding.

E from Paudash to Coe Hill re-route is beauty using seasonal roads.

Small run on Rose Island Rd nothing too bad.

Rode over to Ingram Road via E107 & TOP E this afternoon. All trails had been groomed including PTB 618 (Silent Lake Trail). As IRA mentioned there is road running along the Rose Island Road. The club(s) have tried to groom the ditch where possible. Thin snow cover in spots. Be aware that the Boundary Road is plowed & log hauling is in progress.

Met 3 sleds (1 twice) during my ride. Hopefully the trails don't get abused during this warm spell the idgits have forecast.

The former Crowe River bridge has been removed & is in place along the trail. First time I've been thru that property in years.

On TOP E just north of the old E107 junction:

Rode 619 from Chandos, to E to 618 (groomed today) up to Paudash to the Lakeview for a great lunch.  Back onto Paudash up to the beach to the E110, down to the E and back.  All were in great shape.  Hope the weather not too hard on the trails this weekend.

I guess no recent posts could be a good sign, everybody is out riding!! Any updates on trail conditions in the area, Bancroft, Coe Hill, Apsley, Paudash, after the recent snow fall? Hoping to track some miles this weekend, could be only a couple left.
