jedanr
there are an unusual number of pressure cracks on lake simcoe this year and sledders need to take extra caution. last week returning back from a ride we saw the police had the area cordoned off with the aftermath of a lad that hit a pressure crack at the mouth of the holland river where it empties into the lake. this is a popular high speed running area and obviously this poor guy didnt see the pressure crack that runs across the whole width of the mouth. given the conditions last sunday with flat light and blowing snow these pressure cracks are impossible to see and sudden impact with a wall of ice is not good. Not a good way to end your day of riding to see this and I hope this guy pulls through. Be careful out there.
