These two guys are pretty serious sledheads and are locals. Not taking anything away from the other Federation volunteers. Lots to do in a short season. I can't imagine there are a lot of places to get planning advice from. Heck, I go to Cruising on King in Kitchener and they do it every year and still have problems organizing it, oh sorry don't want to bash the volunteers there. I especially liked the way they launched us into the parade. I mistakenly moved my daughters sled behind mine, after they had her beside me, my bad, but they were so good to get things in order right away. Always room for improvement to strive to do better. We really had no advice to go on of any kind. Lots of additional meetings with discussions and drawings and changes throughout. We had some good discussions about what we would have liked to change. It is almost evening when Alberta is attempting it. I'm not sure thats a good idea. They did that to themselves when they made the minimum pledge amounts so high. Its unfortunate as its a good cause and was a great event when it was open to all. Our whole family was on the Kitchener broadcast and my oldest daughter is front and center on the one I posted here. Look for the little girl in pink near the start. She waves right to the camera. We have been getting lots of good PR which is good for snowmobiling. (PS, you can see my oldest daughter Renee age 7 waving to the camera at the 8 second mark in the video.
