WE NEED HELP!!! - UPDATED 12/17/13

Moosifer

Recommended Posts

Heart of Ontario S.C. needs to rebuild approximately 8 bridges on one of our key trails. These bridges were just recently condemned so we will not be able to open the trail until they are fixed. The project date is TBD but will be before Christmas.

We appreciate the short notice but we need all the help we can get. This project is vital to the success of the season.

More information will be posted as soon as it is available.

For more info, or to express interest please email volunteers@heartofontario.ca

Great!  It looks like the plan is to meet about 8:30 Saturday and  Sunday.  If you can make either day that is great, if you can make both, that is even better!!!

We have 8 bridges to do, so the more hands the quicker it will go.  Moosifer will be posting the details later today, but basically it will be dress accordingly, bring hand tools (hammer, wrecking bar) if you have them.

Lunch and warm drinks will be provided.  We will need a head count for the food.

Again, Moosifer will provide a detailed update later.  Feel free to PM me if you need any other information.

Thanks in advance to all that can show up!

Hi Brian,

check with Blair, most of the old decks are stripped off now. I would think hammer & maybe pry bars.

With great # volunteers today from 3 different clubs, we finished the one bridge on the rail trail by HWY #12. Anyone who can give a few hours tomorrow we finished the other bridge. We are meeting at 9am at HWY#12 & Blackwater railway. Please bring hammers. After this bridge is finished this means opening of this trail from Uxbridge & Sunderland or Lindsay. :wavey:
